I can agree with 1.26.4 the same source path is Brocken. Ffmpeg is crashing. With 1.26.3 it works. I habe no solution. Sorry.

Normally you shouldn't install ffmpeg from Ubuntu. The puppet will build it from source. But the hole rstp part seems to make trubble to everyone. There is an old patch for adding mkv support in my topic which I couldn't test because I didn't know how to add it to the puppet installer. But it should ...

Maybe you have some Moore Screenshots for us, then its easyer for us to give statements to the new UI.

did you try source extern without rstp? this should work when choosing a mpeg stream of your cam with lower resolutions like max 1080p with 15 frames.
but you can´t use h264 with extern source.

Live video is without distortion? I think not when using h264.

it should advise ffmpeg to force tcp connection to rstp stream instead of udp. With udp we get brocken streams.

puppet installs from source. so inside of the puppet installer the patch must be included. i have asked fixxxermet to include it for testing.

i have found the reason. Short form: ffmpeg has problems with udp stream over rtsp. https://trac.ffmpeg.***/ticket/285 I found no way to force ffmpeg to connect over tcp, wich would be a soulution. Maybe someone has an idea, but the problem is old and therefor i will better forget to try it anymore ...
