upgrade from 1.26.4 to 1.28.1: CPU pegged
I'm using centos 7 with the zmrepo, all updated late last week. ZM was working wonderfully with load no more than around 8 until I updated it last friday. Ever since the idle load is around 40. All the zma and zmc processes are in a constant run state even when nothing is happening. I noticed I have ...

zoneminder passthrough to "people counter" info screen
We have an axis camera with built-in firmware that computes when people are coming and leaving a doorway area. It's on an internal lan which is inaccessible to the "public" lan that the zm console is accessible from. If you browse to the camera on the lan it redirects to the url /people-counter ...

Re: "increase ring buffer size" on centos/rh 6 ??
I stumbled on a solution. I had set the idle FPS rate to 5 on all the cameras. That's when the problem started. Clearing that field fixed it.

Re: "increase ring buffer size" on centos/rh 6 ??
Thanks so much for the reply! Sorry I didn't see it until now. I've put a representative log online along with the camera settings from the zm db. This is from an axis 212 ptz network camera. They are here: http://faculty.missouri.edu/~winkelr/zm/axis212ptz.settings http://faculty.missouri.edu ...

"increase ring buffer size" on centos/rh 6 ??
Sorry for the basic question but I've been having capture problems on a centos/rh 6 machine. This is on a modern machine (Intel(R) i5-3470 CPU @ 3.20GHz) with 8GB ram and 5 cameras grabbing 640x480 at 5 fps when idle. The symptom is gobs of "unexpected packet type 201" and "buffer overrun" errors ...

controlling axis 212 ptz broken on 1.26.5
Works fine on 1.26.4 with same camera firmware version and identical zm configuration. Popup window says: Control response was status = undefined message = /usr/local/bin/zmcontrol.pl --step=1678 --command=zoomRelTele --id=4=> (truncated) zmcontrol.log says: zmcontrol[9298].FAT [Can't connect: No ...

Live view no longer makes pop-ups on mac firefox
I have 1.26.4 and 1.26.5 installed on 2 different machines (centos 6.4 and 6.5 respectively) and the live view doesn't create a popup window on the new version on macintosh firefox, but it works fine on windows firefox. Other windows (configuration, events, options etc) popup, but not the live view ...

Re: One suggestion for this AMAZING package
I figured out the problem with adding a userid:password to the remote host name field. The password has an equals (=) in it. Line 84 of web/skins/classic/views/js/monitor.js.php only allows characters [0-9a-zA-Z_.:@-]. This seems overly restrictive. I'm going to hack my copy but someone might ...

One suggestion for this AMAZING package
Just installed ZM 1.26.4 here and I have to say it's rilley kewl :) I have 4 axis 212 PTZ cameras (soon to be more) "modect"ed by a CPU0: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5520 @ 2.27GHz stepping 05 with 8gb of ram with centos 6.4 on a vm under vmware esx and it's working flawlessly after I reverted zm_rtp ...

Re: Axis 212 PTZ setup
Ok, I was able to get all 4 cameras displaying video by doing a preset axis ip ptz mpjpeg max 5 fps and then going back and filling in the path and port according to the wiki. But I'm still getting "Error while decoding frame xxxx" on all 4 cameras. Monitor 2 seems especially verbose in its errors ...

Re: Axis 212 PTZ setup
Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, I looked at that and it doesn't work with rtsp streaming either. The dialog window rejects the syntax and refuses to save it. But in any case I've turned on anonymous connections to the camera for now and tried the settings on that page: Remote Protocol: RTSP Remote ...

Axis 212 PTZ setup
I'm new to zoneminder, sorry for any obvious stupidity on my part. I have the software set up and (I think) working normally, but I can't figure out how to specify the camera's login and password in the zm configuration panel. If I enter loginID:password@cameraIP in the remote host field of the ...
