I tried installing from the ppa on a fresh 64bit 13.10 server box by changing the apt sources to point to the raring package. Lots of socket errors with 13.10 and could not view cameras once I got apache working right if I recall. Ended up going to back 12.04. Seemed easier just to do over due to ...
