Is the Beaglebone Black, running Ubuntu 12.04, powerful enough to run Zoneminder with motion detection and recording a single H264 IP cam at a resolution of 1280x720?
I need a compact system and therefore looking at the Beaglebone as a solution (i understand that the Raspberry Pi is not suited).

POK, thanks for responding. I am using 1.24.2 because it is the distribution that i was able to pull down for Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) which is older - i'm using older hardware (MacBook 1.1 from 2006).
