Re: Zones image preview blank
This is a new install. Yes I used that exact guide when setting it up. I suspected folder permissions could be the issue which is why I included the output of ls -l in my original post. I don't have a known good system to compare to. The system I had running was for my previous employer and I'm now ...

Zones image preview blank
Struggling with figuring this out, looking for some help. I've got a fresh 1.28.1 install on Ubuntu server 14.04. Everything appears to be working, I have a handful of cameras set up. However, when I try to configure a motion detection zone, I don't see an image of my video stream. Any ideas? Here's ...

1.27, iconnor repository, and ubuntu 13.10 Saucy question
First off I'll start by saying I've really enjoyed the fruits of the developers labor with zoneminder. I'm glad to see continued development for such an awesome piece of software. Just the other day I built up an Ubuntu 13.10 server and realized when I added the iconnor repository there wasn't a ...

tmpfs for /dev/shm question
I'm looking at building a home server with one function being recording a couple IP cams. I'm looking at running ubuntu server off of a flash drive. In order to preserve the flash drive from burning out the internet suggests mounting /var and /tmp as tmpfs so that it's stored in a ramdisk instead of ...

Re: zmfilter.pl not working in 1.26.5????
Big ups to myrison on this one. My boss likes to install all updates randomly, and he updated perl. So this morning I came in and noticed that my disk utilization was up over my purge threshold. Fortunately I noticed and didn't let it run like that all weekend. I did everything in myrison's post and ...

Re: Buffer Overrun errors
I don't have anything set to run at that time of day. The path you're looking for in this case is /proc/mdstat. If I cat that, there's nothing interesting, just an active array. I ran your dmesg command and got nothing back. I have deep filesystem enabled. The only filter I have enabled is ...

Buffer Overrun errors
Not sure if this is an anomaly or signs of a greater issue, so I figured I would pose it to the forums. I'm running 1.26.5 on Ubuntu Server 12.04. I had been running with two striped 500Gb drives but earlier this week I replaced those with 3 4Tb drives in a RAID 5 configuration using mdadm. System ...

Re: zmfilter.pl not working in 1.26.5????
Perhaps I should be more patient. I see mine did eventually delete the actual events and my disk percentage went down. Must have needed to give it a while. That being the case, everything appears to be working for me with my original zmfilter.pl. When doing sogood007's edits, some of them already ...

Re: zmfilter.pl not working in 1.26.5????
I just applied all of sogood007's edits and I get the same results as pyroman. From my SSH session: Global symbol "%Config" requires explicit package name at /usr/bin/zmfilter.pl line 54. Global symbol "%Config" requires explicit package name at /usr/bin/zmfilter.pl line 54. Global symbol "%Config ...

Re: zmfilter.pl not working in 1.26.5????
I'm having a variation of this problem (1.26.5 on Ubuntu 12.04). If I set up a filter to delete after X days and execute it, it'll pull all the events with the applicable dates and remove them from the main console window. HOWEVER, when I actually navigate the events folder, the images are not ...

Re: PV-155-nothing works [RESOLVED]
Some catharsis to this issue. Maybe someone else can find this post useful when searching. I ended up getting everything working. I needed to create a file in /etc/modprobe.d containing: options bttv card=77,77,77,77,77,77,77,77 I started with 4 "77's" but when I added the second PV-155 card into ...

Re: PV-155-nothing works
I can't really make sense of this. I took the same PV-155 card and popped it in an old XP machine. I used the drivers from the CD. When I use either iSpy or just Windows Movie Maker I get that same damn blue video screen.

Re: PV-155-nothing works
I ended up removing 1.25 and dropping the database. I installed 1.26.5 per the thread you posted. I get the same results, though now I'm able to use the probe link. Previously it had not populated the drop down.

Re: PV-155-nothing works
I really can't rationalize my luck with this. I built up a centos 6.5 system and compiled 1.25. I get the same results, nothing but blue screens. I went off of the main wiki page for my instructions (http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/CentOS). Should I try and update to 1.26? My zmu -d /dev ...
