Hey guys,
I just purchased some Hikvision 2032 Bullet Cameras.
Having the same smearing issues with my cameras on Zoneminder, image looks grainy and monitor turns read after a few seconds. I'm going to try this link when I get home https://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/CompilationGuide/Ubuntu

Tutorial: How to Setup Home Surveillance with ZM on Ubuntu
Hey guys, I'm new to the ZM forums. I would like to share with you my latest project. . . My old 2007 Asus G1S Laptop running Zoneminder surveillance software on Ubuntu 12.04 with an attached hidden motion sensing raspberry pi that also doubles as a ftp/nfs/samba server. Let me know what you think ...

Re: RE: Raspberry Pi Webcam in Zoneminder?
I am not familiar with Motion. What protocol is that URL providing? A good way to test is to use VLC and find a method to view it, much quicker than changing ZM settings over and over looking for success. "Motion" is great if you want a RPi+Webcam out of the box that Motion Detects. However if you ...

RE: Raspberry Pi Webcam in Zoneminder?
Hey guys,
I have a RPi at home running "Motion". I can get a webstream of my webcam in my browser on 192.168.1.xx:8585
But when I add it to zoneminder all I get is a blank jpeg placeholder with no image.
Has anyone been able to get this working on their setup?

Hey guys,
Upgraded my ZM to 1.27 and made sure I was using my Administrator Username and Password
All working now
On a side note make sure you have set your ZM Config file to JPEG images not MPEG

Re: ZM 1.25 on Raspberry Pi
Very interesting - thanks for the info. It's an interesting choice of minimal hardware and I'd be interested to find out how it performs for real.. Hi Nugget, Abandoned ZM on my RPi after one week. I found that it could not handle modetect and was skipping events. So I have turned my RPi into a ...

Re: Post your motion detection settings and feedback
Im interested to know what motion detect settings people are using within there preset zones.
Let me know your success rate with true vs false alarms.
I am using medium sensitivity 20 with overrload of 4. So far not too bad. Will post more details tomorrow.

Re: How to relocate all recordings to save to a different di
Hi Mike, I would love to know the answer to this also. Seems like the ZM forums have a shortage of people with knowledge of this program. Everything seems to lead back to the Wiki which doesnt always answer your questions. Its a shame there are not more knowledgable people here to help as it would ...
