Well, remembered that I had bought a POE injector for the cameras and plugged the link from that into my switch.
I already had ZM running on a host (from way back) and I'm trying to get it going now.

I've poked around ZoneMinder for a few years now, seems I'm back. Our house now has a system from Costco, with a QSee DVR and cameras. The cameras are POE, QCN8033B, and I think made by Dahua. The DVR is crap. I know I can keep my existing cameras, install a POE switch to take the place of the DVR ...
