Re: Scheduled Off Times
I just wanted to thank you. It was not difficult at all to do. I have not really had to mess with the chrontab before so it was a learning experience but we have it nailed down now. The only thing I had to change was the path. Here is what is in the wiki 0 8 * * * root /usr/local/bin/zmpkg.pl ...

Scheduled Off Times
Does Zoneminder have any way to schedule modetect or not?
For example...my brother has a camera overlooking his swimming pool. He basically wants to have the camera NOT do modetect from 9am to 5pm or something like that. No need to record a day at his pool with his family.
Thanks,
Dan

Re: Can't add 4th Camera (sort of)
Ok I keep digging into this and I have it fixed temporarily. I saw this command posted somewhere: mount -o remount,size=2G /dev/shm and thought I might as well try: mount -o remount,size=2G /run/shm and it worked immediately....but it is only temporary and will go away if the server is rebooted. I ...

Can't add 4th Camera (sort of)
Ok. I have ZM all up and running. We are trying to monitor at 1920 x 1080. 3 cameras it works fine. Once I change the 4th from 1080x720 to 1920 x 1080 I start getting crashes in the log: 'zmc -m 2' crashed, signal 6 So that pointed me in the direction of maxed out resources somewhere. I read ...

Zoneminder 1.28 the Easy Way Question
Hello, I am following the write up "Ubuntu Server 14.04 64-bit with Zoneminder 1.28.0 the easy way" I am doing the cambozola part and did this command: tar -xzvf cambozola-latest.tar.gz That worked fine. The next command I copied and pasted is: replace 935 with cambozola version downloaded And it ...

Hikvision DS-2CD2132-I
I do not see a specific wiki-page for this model. Has anyone successfully used these cameras. I have 4 currently installed and I am going to try some other Hikvision models' setting (from their specific wiki pages) to see what I can get working...but if someone already has them working, why re ...

Storage
All, I am wanting to try out ZoneMinder on a "freebie" computer. It currently only has an 80g hard drive. If it is something that looks like it will work for me I will want to roll it out with more storage. Where does ZoneMinder store the video and can I just add another drive to expand the storage ...

Re: Ubuntu Server 12.04 64-bit with Zoneminder 1.27
Thank you. I was able to install ZM 1.27 latest onto Ubuntu 14.04.
Granted, I don't have a camera yet to test with as it is in transit.
Thanks for all your work

Ubuntu Server 12.04 64-bit with Zoneminder 1.27
The tutorial states: I strongly recommend you used the mini.iso installer as I've had some issues with 12.04-5 server CD, Install Basic Server, OpenSSH Server, and LAMP Server When I go to the Ubuntu downloads I only see the mini.iso installers listed generically. Are these mini.iso for Server ...
