Re: Raspberry Pi Limitations?

That is the answer I would expect from someone like you. Thank you for being honest and straight to the point. I have since gone with a dedicated server running ESXi and made a virtual machine for zoneminder, I probably will need to upgrade the memory at some point in the near future as i start to ...

Re: How Much CPU do you Need for Megapixel IP Cams?

Thanks ccc for all the info! Same question as mattj. I was under the impression ZM doesnt currently support being triggered *from* a camera's built-in motion detection. This is one feature that I think most users are really looking for. It would be the perfect solution for our servers hearts, I ...

Raspberry Pi Limitations?

I'm planning on using a Raspberry Pi (More than likely a 2 model B) as a dedicated Zoneminder server saving its data to a NAS drive on the network. However, i'm sure there would be limitations to how many active streams there could be handled in a RPi server compared to say a rack mounted dedicated ...

Events not being recorded.

Good morning! I've got myself a Raspberry Pi running MotionPie software and configured as a 'Fast Network Camera', essentially making it a IP camera. I then have that fed into a zoneminder server running at the moment on a Dell Power edge virtual box, but will be putting it onto another Raspberry PI ...

Re: Unrecognised content type 'text/html'

Well, i chose this route simply because of running costs. I might end up going for the IP Camera route though. I'll leep trying with this for a while first though!

Re: Unrecognised content type 'text/html'

Okay, well thank you for your help, i hope someone strolls across this thread and attempts to throw some light onto the situation :P

However, you should get the camera module, normal or NOIR, they are fantastic!

Re: Unrecognised content type 'text/html'

Hmmm, I've clean installed Rasbian on my Pi and followed miguelgrinberg's guide, the second link that you provided (It won't let me post with another URL in, its "too spammy"). I'm now able to see a live picture on the zoneminder server however, i'm getting a poor 0.45 FPS, which lets just say is ...

Re: Unrecognised content type 'text/html'

I just started to look at mjpg streamer yesterday but it seems there are several different forks and it's hard to know which version is working. I'm not sure the RPI Cam is a v4l device (I'm using a regular USB webcam on my pi, but I haven't managed to get a picture yet). All of the guides ive seen ...

Re: Unrecognised content type 'text/html'

I'm getting a webpage, which is where my issue is, clearly. I've tried for hours to figure out where to find the stream file but i'm having no luck at all. I think i may have an issue with my V4L.... MJPG Streamer Version: svn rev: i: Using V4L2 device.: /dev/video0 i: Desired Resolution: 640 x 480 ...

Re: Unrecognised content type 'text/html'

It takes me to the stream, i should have said that i had tried that. I personally think that the server is looking for a html/text page UNLESS stated otherwise, so because i'm doing /?action=stream, its assuming i mean "/?action=stream.html" or "/?action=stream.txt". However, I'm only guessing and I ...

Unrecognised content type 'text/html'

Hi guys, first time poster here, hope to be around here for a while too! I've got my Zoneminder server setup, a Raspberry Pi running as a IP Camera using MJPEG Streamer and RPI Cam Web Interface. I've got my Pi streaming to the point i can go to "192.168.0.15" and it will give me the live stream of ...
