channel 3 isn't capturing but 0,1,2 are
Hi all. I'm having trouble with one camera in one card. I've got 4 cards. All work (all that I'm using anyway). One channel in one card doesn't work though. It's set in mode "Modect" and but no matter what you throw in front of it, it doesn't cause an alarm (i.e. doesn't record the event). However ...

Incomplete read/write of frame
Hi all. In my logs (/var/log/message/) I keep getting this kind of stuff: Apr 8 09:12:47 spyserver zmf_m4[6441]: INF [Frame server socket open, awaiting images] Apr 8 09:12:47 spyserver zmf_m4[6441]: ERR [Incomplete read of frame image data, 16112 bytes only] Apr 8 09:12:47 spyserver zma_m4[6445 ...

documentation no good
Hi. I tried to install the latest version of zoneminder but found that the documentation for this version wasn't very good. Here is the thing, it didn't tell me when and which perl scripts to run to choose a password username and such for the database. I also want to know what is the default ...

system stopped recording out of the blue
Hi, everyone, I'm running zoneminder 1.21.3 and 3 days ago all the cameras had stopped recording events. They were still on the "Modect" Function. One thing that seemed "different" (or maybe not because I never noticed it before) was that the Sources were all in red colour. What do these colours ...

There is no ZM_EVENT_SORT_ORDER in my ZM. Rember I'm using 1.21.3. Even if there was though, I think it would change just "ZM - Events" (the windows where it show about 25 events). However, I want the "ZM - Events" window to be descending and when viewing more than one event I want to view them in ...

(possbl. bug) view multiple events time=asc.
Hi all. First, I have ZM 1.21.3. I've been trying to view events from oldest to newest (i.e. ascending time-wise). However, when I click on the number of events in a monitor (whichever) and then put a check mark on the N events I want to view, then I click "View", the events start playing in ...

events and logs /var/log/messages don't match
Hi all, (I use CentOS 4.2 and ZoneMInder 1.21.3.) I have a strange problem. I have 10 cameras and for some reason they decide to skip recording events from seemingly random times. For example: 9556 Event-9556 Nad_Desk Motion 12/03 14:39:13 0.71 24 4 15 3 5 9000 Event-9000 Nad_Desk Motion 12/03 11:14 ...

blurry movement in images
Hi. First I want to thank all the contributors and the creator of ZoneMinder. It's a killer tool. Second. I've got a bit of a problem. In all of my cameras there is some blurriness in motion of an image. To demonstrate, take a look at this: http://people.uleth.ca/~gezim.hoxha/006-capture.jpg The ...
