Hello,
today Zoneminder crashed. I have version 1.30.4 installed on Ubuntu from iconnors ppa.
Has anyone an idea why ZM crashes?
Thanks in advance

Re: Zoneminder crashed
It happened again :( How is it possible to stop zoneminder crashing? I think i will try a new clean installation with the newest version. It could be the problem with a wifi camera that it loses sometimes the connection, but zoneminder should close the old process like you described it. 2017-07-29 ...

Re: Zoneminder crashed
I currently have Version 1.30.4.
Just one Camera is connected via wifi.
I will Test it with a Network cable.
But independently a deadlock/livelock should not happen in a software.

Re: Logging in returns to log in page
I had this problem once.
My keyboard layout changed (language) and now i had the qwerty layout.
So the password was incorrect and i landed on the same page again.
Another time my disk space was full and i it was the same again.

Re: Zoneminder crashed
Now it is at:
tmpfs 7.8G 528M 7.3G 7% /dev/shm
I also configured an icinga2 check to monitor it if it happens again.
Thanks for your help.

Re: How much security is enough?
Additionally i have a htpasswd with the user login and fail2ban to monitor and block the ip's which could bruteforce my password.
I don't know if zoneminder itself blocks bruteforcing.

Login Bruteforce Protection
Hello,
is there any login bruteforce protection implemented in zoneminder?
If i forward the ports everyone is able to get to the login mask.
A other solution could be a apache2 htaccess/htpasswd with fail2ban but my question is if zoneminder directly supports something like this.

And i figured out that the time offset was negative. Is it possible ...

Re: zoneminder - null events
Solution: (maybe someone needs this) I figured out that somehow zoneminder was running two times. When i stopped it with /etc/init.d/, with systemctl and also killed all processes from zoneminder i could start it again and now the events are getting saved correctly. I have removed the autostart with ...
