Resolved. With the help of Iconnor. the issue was the Time Zone on the server. I am running it on a VM and forgot to set the time zone.

Sorry to reply to my own post but I realized that I did not really ask a question. What permissions do I need to change to make this function properly.

After turning on authentication all images/streams are broken. they return as soon as I turn off authentication. I am assuming I just need to reset the permissions on some files/folders. Thank you in advance.

I am using TCP. I am using the exact same setting for the exact same model cameras at 2 different locations. except IP/domain info.

I am not new to zoneminder at all. I have done at least 10 successful installs on Debian, Raspbian, and Ubuntu. this is the first time I have had this error.

i figured it out. I just had to comment out the links I didn't want seen and added a basic close link copied from the Montage review page. It closes the browser and returns the user to the desktop.

kiosk mode hides the address bar and disallows right click within the browser. I am not using user authentication. this system is not going to be online. just connected to a switch and a Monitor. I am running zoneminder in kiosk mode and want to put a link on main page to close the browser as well as remove a few of the links. which pages would I need to edit to accomplish this.

I am running a RPI3 and need onvif support. I have had great sucess with ZM 1.29 but am being told I need to upgrade to 1.30.4 to get the onvif support. What is the best OS to run on the RPI3 to acheive this.

I found this link http://zoneminder.blogspot.com/p/raspberry-pi-3.html that is using fedora but I can't figure out what version of zoneminder is being used.

what version of Ubuntu would you recommend for a RPI3? I will only be running zoneminder on it.
