How to access NATted cameras remotely over http/ssh/sshuttle

Hello I found a way to access cameras and configure them via http from behind NAT and without any port forwarding set on the router/firewall. Assumptions: 1. Remote server has cameras attached to the interface in the network of 192.168.2.0/24 2. Remote server is accesible from the internet via ssh ...

Re: zmNinja 1.1.94 upgrade. App malfunction

Yup. Just pushed 1.1.95. I hear people are burning effigies. I did not have any figurines to burn but made some phone calls to friends to not upgrade, so they remain on the safe side of the game :D Thank you for pushing the corrected version 1.1.95 Suggestion: [*]The wizard, if it fails because of ...

zmNinja 1.1.94 upgrade. App malfunction

I just upgraded zmNinja. It shows version 1.1.94.
It is completely unusable. I have rebooted the phone.
The zmNinja's UI looks like it is missing some formatting.
It does log in to the server but the user interface looks like some crippled browser window.
Is this known to the larger audience?

Re: alert on sick camera

From the diagram that is probably current one may conclude that the place to look for it would be either: 1. zmdc.pl 2. zmwatch.pl 3. zmtrigger.pl Those three scripts have direct access to capture process in zoneminder. It would be nice if someone would give us a command line example how to ...

how to shoot at ZM with streams that are zm-compatible, VLC?

Hello, I found this page https://wiki.videolan.org/Documentation:Streaming_HowTo/Command_Line_Examples/ and what strikes me is that I have no way to create a stream that ZM could easily understand. For simplicyty's sake lets assume: 1. Fedora 23 with zmrepo zm version 1.29 ZM fully installed and ...

user with low privilages cannot login via zmNinja?

Is this by design that if a user has minimal previleges in zoneminder he cannot use zmNinja?

In the above case only 'STREAM' and 'EVENTS' are allowed for user zmview.
If you try to login via zmNinja with its credentials it will fail with error.

Thanks for any hints

Re: Timezone settings are reversed in live camera view

Perhaps you should start with RTC on the motherboard, in the BIOS. then proceed to tzdata as that is software in the OS. Check hardware time setting of both the camera and your motherboard Bios first.

Re: How do you setup email alerts for alarms?

I read somewhere either on this forum or elswhere that you could have your smartphone register with zoneminder server via bluethooth. Then create a condition in the filter that emails should be sent only if the smartphone is not within the bluetooth range. (you being effectively "away") makes sense?

Re: Simple email filter question

I have set it to match the "Monitor Name" is equal to the camera name and the "Cause" equal to "Alarm" with the "Email details of all matches" selected of course. Try: Monitor ID equals <integer> Date/Time is equal or less than "now" Make sure the camera is set to Modect mode. Force an alarm on the ...

ssmtp as an option from within web interface?

Hello, Just wondering if different ways of smtp options could be implemented either at install time or from the web interface of ZM? I have no idea if ssmtp is a professional or a reliable way of delivering mail with attachments but perhaps there should either be a way of the mail subsystem to "just ...

Re: How to find out why a stream from camera stopped showing output?

I was unable to find out why the camera stopped showing output. After a reboot things returned back to normal. South_Window camera is good now. A reboot proves that in was in the zoneminder where the problem was. So the issue remains uresolved for now. If the problem persists I will revisit it and ...

Re: How to find out why a stream from camera stopped showing output?

You could be out of memory. Do a "dd" to see if anything is near 100% especially your tmpfs. Lower camera resolution to fix... Thank you for giving a hint to find out more. Do you make anything out of this: df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on devtmpfs 970M 0 970M 0% /dev tmpfs 978M ...
