Re: Running out of disk space
mikb & bunge..... Thanks for your help. I was able to recreate the database following your advice. It took a couple of days, but, it appears that the audit program (or filter) has cleaned out the orphaned files. My free disk space has increased and is now at the expected level.

Re: Running out of disk space
Thanks for that. But, before I can attempt anything, I need to resolve the disk space issue with "var/cache/zoneminder/events". There seems to be gigs of data there and I can't delete it because it seems to be owned by a different user. Will your procedure clean up that space also? My fear is that ...

Re: Running out of disk space
Thanks for your reply. I agree that using MySql workbench probably corrupted something. But, are you taking about dropping the Events table, or, the entire database? I'm assuming that if I drop the entire database I'll lose all definition of my camera(s), etc. What is the recommended way to recreate ...

Running out of disk space
I've read the docs and done what was suggested for filters. However, I still see a large amount of space being consumed in var/cache/zoneminder/events. I'm talking gigs. How do I control that from happening? I've used MySql to clean out the events, but, it appears there's some other files left ...

Re: Zoneminder Motion Events
Thanks. I had already read that and assumed that since...
that meant that all motion within the "default zone" should be captured. I've since selected one of the "presets" to see if this improves my image capture.the default zone is the full area captured by the monitor

Re: Zoneminder Motion Events
I stand corrected. I thought I was not receiving events when in fact I was. However, I don't seem to be receiving ALL events. There are times when I know there has been motion in front of the camera, but, there is no record of the event. This does not happen for all events.

Zoneminder Motion Events
As a new user of this software, I'm trying to understand "events". My current camera setup (Samsung snh-P6410BN) saves motion detected events to an sd card. I can view them from a smart phone or web viewer. I was assuming that Zoneminder would follow the same sort of scenario. I expected to see ...

Re: Samsung Smartcam SNH-P6410BN
Paco...thanks for the heads up. I was including the user and password. However, I had left off "rtsp://". Once I added that, I was able to connect to the camera! Thanks for taking the time to help. It's much appreciated.

Re: Samsung Smartcam SNH-P6410BN
Bd...The path does not contain a space. PacoLM....I took your advice and tried ffmpeg. While I could not find "ffmpeg", I was able to find "avconv". I set the flags you recommended accordingly. I now get a completely blue screen for the monitor and the string "Unable to open input 192.168.0.xx:xxx ...

Re: Samsung Smartcam SNH-P6410BN
I finally had time to get back to this. I'm still struggling with finding the right combination of settings. In fact, I've found at least one other user with the same problem as evidenced by https://forums.zoneminder.com/viewtopic.php?t=22328 . Basically, I'm seeing the same thing. That is, nothing ...

Asker: Those settings did not work for me.
BBunge: I already had a path set but I updated it to use what you suggested. No luck. Still no stream.
Additionally, I took a look in the log and I consistently get "Unable to connect RTSP socket"

Samsung Smartcam SNH-P6410BN
I know that this camera is not listed as a generally supported camera, but, I wanted to inquire if anyone has successfully configured it with ZoneMinder. I've had the camera for a while and it works well using the Samsung provided phone app. I also had it writing to a Synology NAS using their ...
