Do you leave the Montage view open? I have a similar problem in CentOS, if I leave the Montage view open in a browser it will generate hundreds of httpd processes each with files open......this eventually hits either the apache maximum if I set ti low enough of hangs when it runs out of file handles ...

Try out jZMConsole and don't even use the montage view. Just a suggestion and it's working great with my setup. I am seeing the same problem, very large negative numbers for FPS and also large numbers for the Zoom.

Does any one have any ideas why ths woudl happen.

I am also using CentOS 5.3 x86_64.

I am now back to 2 zoneminder severs and 7 cameras
