Thanks, I think I need colour cameras (spotting various fish-related illnesses and infections is easier with a bit of colour), but that's an interesting link. New suppliers are always useful, and I hadn't thought of looking for sports-related stuff.

ZM on old hardware? (or embedded)

Hello, me again, Can anyone give any feedback on running ZM on older kit? Basically, I'm considering using ZM on an embedded-type system (such as PC/104 or EPIC ) and this means that spec is somewhat limited. (eg 400MHz Celeron) What would be the minimum spec for something similar to: 2 colour camer...

Submersible Cameras

Hello again folks, I've been away for a while, hope you're all well :) As some of you may remember, I'm putting together a ZM kit for a garden centre soon, and you've been helping me out with spec and stuff. It turns out, that what would be REALLY nice, would be to include an underwater camera for s...

I'm suprized that you had problems on the FC4 Vanila. I have been using FC4 to work out the scripts for the RPMs and have had no trouble what so ever. The RPMs for now are only FC3/ZoneMinder Core 3. I'm now checking into the above possible problems tring to figure what if anything has gone wrong. ...

I'll give it a go. I've used both 1.21.4 and 1.22 on a SUSE 10 system, but have had trouble with 1.22 on a Fedora Core 4 build. I was going to install a second OS anyway for testing ZM, (in case I buggered something up somewhere), so will be testing it on a pretty vanilla system. It's for FC3? or FC...

Should be a fairly dull zone. I did go in and edited the zone, and moved the corners in a bit, because the debug log seemed to indicate some odd issue with the sizes. What I'm not sure of is why I can't delete monitors. I'm having trouble turning on mysql logging in Fedora, so I can't see what's goi...

Bah, I can't get MySQL to log the queries either, so I can't really see any more info :( Hmm, I'm going to remove and put in 1.20 and see what happens. This is the full log from a "zmpkl.pl start" through to a "zmpkl.pl stop". The section in green will repeat it self indefinately...

Secondly, installation using the provided transformer (is universal for 110V/240V power supplies) requires a weather proof box - the lead is only about 3m. They are CE approved so could be used indoors - perhaps extending the actual cable by soldering/heat shrinking in an extension would be the bes...

I can't imagine what this might be pointing at I was just hoping it would be an incentive for people to help me fix my problem :D I've just noticed that now I've created a new camera, I can run the aforementioned zmu command without failure, but I'm still not getting any luck. The webinterface stil...

'zmu -q -v -m 1' causes the above dump every time. The Monitors table looks like this: id: 1 name: tittycam type: local function: monitor enabled: 1 triggers: <<blank>> device: /dev/video0 channel: 0 format: 0 host: <<blank>> port: 80 path: <<blank>> width: 320 height: 240 palette: 15 orientation: 0...

Problem running zm ['zmc -d /dev/video0' died, signal 6]

I have done a clean install of ZM on a clean Fedora Core 4 build. I get the following error, and while I'm sure it's something daft I've done wrong, I can't even see where to start looking... After zmpkg.pl start I get: Jan 19 23:07:34 hercules su(pam_unix)[9692]: session opened for user apache by (...

Not sure, I think it would be useful to be able to say that under the maximum likely load (modect on all cams with a continuous event?) a particular machine will host X number of cams before limping away to hide behind the sofa. For the sake of planning, the actual load is somewhat irrelevent, it's ...
