Event Column Explaination
I have Zoneminder running fine. Alarms trigger and images recorded. But, and a big but, I can't seem to block large objects. My camera is used to monitor my vehicle and our front entrance. The front entrance is easy, anything alarms. But I am trying to stop vehicle traffic from tripping the alarm. I ...

Found the problem. The bandwidth was set to low. Once I set it to high all is fine.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Real Time view "Jerky"
I have a 1080P camera. Its the only one connected right now. Image is great, seems to be alarming as I need, but the view is as if I am only getting every third or fourth frame. Its very "jerky". In one second a bird may be on the ground, then just gone the next. Nothing in between. What have I set ...

Bad Timestamp on video image (Solved)
Just finished installing zoneminder on a raspberrypi3. All is running fine except the timestamp on the display and events is UTC and not my time zone. The zm console shows the correct date, the date on the server is correct and I have changed the php.ini file (at least the ones I can find). So why ...

Re: Browser Display gone
Ok, I think what I did was to change the zm_skin to mobile for my laptop. My bad, but now I have no idea how to change it back. Any suggestions? Thanks OK, solved the problem. Cleared the cookies and the old display came back. The index.php searches cookies for the css that it should load. So ...

Re: Raspberry PI camera and ZM
First question I would ask is what Pi Camera are you using. Next question would be do you know the cgi for that camera?

Browser Display gone (Solved)
I had to re-install zoneminder on my RaspberryPi yesterday. All went well until I opened the console this morning. I went to options as I have done in the past to change the appearance, selected a new screen and immediately received an error message that it doesn't exist and now I have a console ...

Re: Can't Connect (update)
Well, after more research, the manufacturer gave me bad information. The URI is for a snap shot not for streaming. I found this on another web site: rtsp://user:password@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/live/ch0 using ffmpeg. That is working just fine now. Sorry about the confusion above. Here's the URL of the site ...

Can't Connect
I have installed a newer camera. The manufacturer says that this is the cgi for this model (Wansview ipcamera) http://user:password@ip:port/mjpeg/snap.cgi?chn=0 When I enter this into my browser, it works just fine. When I try it in wasnview I get a blue screen and the following in the log: 2017-04 ...

Strange response to "Command Not Found"
I recently installed zoneminder on my laptop running Fedora 25. Now when I type a command on the command line, and the command is not found, I get the following message: Failed to search for file: Curl error (37): Couldn't read a file:// file for file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-rpmfusion-free ...

Re: Blue Screen
Thank you. I did that and I was able to get the camera in the browser using that connect string. But it took about 10 seconds to bring the image up. Makes me wonder if maybe it isn't a timing issue? I changed my source to that string and still get the blue screen. Here is what I get from the log ...

Blue Screen
I know this has been pretty much talked to death, but I can't find any definitive answer for my problem. I use a Wansview IP camera model W2. It works fine with any browser and the Wansview app. But all I get from zoneminder is a blue screen. I have tried most of the options but most result in the ...

SMTP server with TLS
I am trying to set up my zm 1.29 to send email/sms messages at event trigger, but I don't see any option to use TLS or the correct TLS port. Is there something I have missed?
Thankis.

Re: Port Forward
My router can pass port 80 no problems. The problem is trying to get to the /zm directory. When I am outside my router and try http://49.23.56.1:8080/zm things go wrong. I have some ideas including virtual hosts on apache.
