Re: PTZ Orbit AF
Even if someone could just point a finger in the right direction for me so I can figure this out for myself... Surely as this has been requested before, people would like to see how to fix the old suggestions?

PTZ Orbit AF
I'm attempting to get PTZ to work correctly with Zoneminder, I have found several posts of people requesting this feature, and whilst some do satisfy the ability to do so in very old versions of Zoneminder, it does not work correctly in the new versions as PTZ control has been implemented ...

Re: Reinstallation of Zoneminder 1.30.2
Excellent, thank you for the very informative instructions. I'll play on the safe side and do the backup so I at least have something should something unrelated go wrong in the future also. I'll inform if there's any problems, but I should expect it'll be fine so long as I can restore the backup ...

Re: Reinstallation of Zoneminder 1.30.2
Thank you for the reply. Where precisely would the DB Settings be located? I have set up a symbolic link for the event DB, would that also move my settings?
Cheers!

Re: Logitech Quickcam PTZ Motion Control
I've been attempting for the last year to get PTZ to work with the Orbit AF. It's been driving me nuts. I have set up scripts to run that send "Pan (Relative)/Tilt (Relative)" commands when motion is detected (when a certain camera, or itself creates an alarm). I have it look around to cover areas I ...

Reinstallation of Zoneminder 1.30.2
Hello, nothing major, but I have had issues with the outlines not being displayed on the events page for alarms. I checked and it appears that it has been fixed in this release. I also noticed that zones do not change colour in the colour tabs, such as inclusive, active, and so on that allow colour ...

Re: Zone Types - Bug?
Whilst this is the most replies and help I've had being on this forum, I still haven't had any constructive advice or solution, any ideas? There's a lot of vague descriptions about how Inclusion works. I only say this as it isn't working for myself... The concept is incredibly simple. Am I correct ...

Zone Types - Bug?
I have been attempting to use the "Inclusive" feature on several of my cameras for weeks, only to find they do not work at all. I'll have the active zone watching a door which will work perfectly fine when Alerted, however the Inclusive zone that follows after the door down a alley will never ...

Swatch Log Watcher
Hello fellow Zoneminders, I'm currently trying to utilise Swatch to look for "Alarm" states, and whilst I've got it to perform a simple script to move my PTZ camera, and have it work well, I'm not sure how to tell Swatch to only focus on one cameras alert. From what I've gathered, I can tell it ...

Re: Trigger notification as soon as alarm starts
Hello Dan, you don't happen to know how to implement your method so I may run a simple .sh script? I'm attempting to have a PTZ camera look a certain direction when motion is detected on another camera. The script I've got working perfectly fine, I believe putting the script in a folder that www ...

Orbit AF/MP/Pro 9000
I've got little experience in Linux, and Zoneminder, so I hope someone with my level of understanding will find this useful. You can use uvcdynctrl -cv to view the available list of commands that you can control the camera with. For example, for my Orbit AF I get a list of settings I can change ...
