ok, so it's not just me!! Good!
I am able to create videos etc., but when I was unable to get some features working figured I would ask on here.
I'll wait patiently for a future release of Zoneminder for Linux....

Re: Zoneminder 1.30.4 and streaming on Ubuntu
I have all the cameras working great, what I'm trying to figure out is how to change from jpeg picture sequences to streaming via mpeg or something.

Zoneminder 1.30.4 and streaming on Ubuntu
I've been working on and off trying to get ffmpeg streaming to work.
ffmpeg is installed, but I have no idea how to configure the settings in zoneminder. I've tried a lot of things, but the closest I've come is using the 'video' selection on an event and generate/download videos.

Re: Ubuntu won't stream events
The camera's are IP-2250 (I think...) HD POE cameras, and they work great. Nice clear images in events etc.. But they work great, Zoneminder works wonderful, and we even donated when asked because it is a very good system. We use it in jpeg mode where when we view cameras or events, a bunch of jpeg ...

Ubuntu won't stream events
I've tried all kinds of things to get ffmpeg to stream events to my web browser, but nothing works. Using mp4 mode, at least the browser seems to like it, but I get no images. Has anyone got a working linux stream for this? If so, could you post the settings you are using? Thanks! V1.30.2 on Ubuntu ...

OMG Snow!!
I've not found a way to keep snowfall from triggering lots of images... it will fill any size storage device I might use.
In the filters if I could run a filter that checks for XXX events in the last TIMEFRAME delete them.
Or maybe I should look into a plugin?

Max FPS for IP cameras
How about adding support for the image processing thread to drop frames from mpeg streams. Set on a per-camera basis. This could be a percentage, so for a system that is receiving 20 fps, you could set the processing to drop 75% of the frames, freeing up lots of cpu usage, then if/when an alarm ...

Re: using a monitor strictly for motion detection without recording
It would be great to have a "motion detect only" mode! I could use my low-res cameras like you are.

Re: So what camera is it?
Found how how to find the camera, might not be a very good way, but worked.
I put my camera name in the ffmpeg options line, forcing an error in the logs. So when I see the ffmpeg option error, it has the same naming as the zma_m6 I got it... silly that the camera name doesn't show up in the logs....

zma_m6 10411 WAR Approaching buffer overrun, consider slowing capture, simplifying analysis or increasing ring buffer size
I see this warning in the logs, but have not found out how to correlate m6 to which camera it is... I'm sure this is simple, but need some help.

Re: No more red outlines on analysis frames
No event blobs highlighted unless you use the Stills screen. On there you can see the highlighted areas that triggered an alarm. But in the frames screen when you choose a frame in the alarm group, no highlights.

Camera view scaling
I have mostly old 640x480 cameras. But my new 1080P camera is great. Until you go to Montage or just view an event from it. I always have to change the scale to 1/2 for it. Please add a per-camera field that you can specify the scale on each camera. Another note on the HD camera; in Montage if the ...
