Re: What exactly is "archive"?
I'm on 1.30.0. I'm pretty sure I didn't specifically ask.

Re: What exactly is "archive"?
Thanks for the pointer. This bit is confusing me though: "Archiving an event means that it is kept to one side and not displayed in the normal event listings unless you specifically ask to view the archived events. This is useful for keeping events that you think may be important or just wish to ...

Re: What exactly is "archive"?
Should probably be called "flagged" or "marked" or something then. The "archive" functionality of, say, gmail and many other systems implies that you are moving items out of a working area into some secondary long-term storage. Thanks for the explanation, though. It would be helpful for there to be ...

What exactly is "archive"?
1. What does it do? 2. What is the purpose of doing that? Neither of these seem to be explained in the documentation, and experimenting with the function doesn't make it clear, either. I usually review my footage each day using zmNinja's excellent "Event Montage" view. Normally there's nothing ...

Re: filter based on zone?
I've read both of those multiple times but could not find any information on how to trigger different actions based on which zone was activated. Can you be more specific as to where that information is?

filter based on zone?
I have a camera pointed out my driveway to the street. I would like to have two zones: one for my driveway, and one for the street. I would like to archive all the events triggered by the zone in the street, and have all the events in the zone on the driveway to not be filtered. Is there a way to ...

zone tuning help
I've been trying to tune the zones on one of my cameras and I'm having some difficulty figuring out what is going on. I seem to have been missing some alarms that I expect to see. It's unclear why; I have some preclusive zones that might be kicking in, or it might be that my parameter settings for ...

Re: using a monitor strictly for motion detection without recording
While that's a possibility, I would prefer a solution that doesn't load the machine at the same time it's trying to record a high fidelity image, just to have the results thrown away.
Is there no way to actually not do the recording?

using a monitor strictly for motion detection without recording
In order to help manage CPU load, I've set up each camera with two monitors, one high resolution and framerate on the main stream, set to "nodect" and one low resolution, lower frame rate set to "modect" on the secondary stream from the same camera. I do motion detection on the secondary, low-res ...
