Update!!!

I recompiled with ffmpeg support, and now everything seems to work fine.

(I still am using openssl..)

Other note worthy observations:

1. I couldn't build 1.24.2 unless i set ZM_SSL_LIB=openssl

2. I built without ffmpeg support. (I'm trying to put this back in as I speak..)

3. I did a fuser on /dev/video* and no one was using it.

I upgraded from 1.23.3 to 1.24.2 yesterday. Running Gentoo on a x64 system. I used the Gentoo ebuild to update. I am unable to monitor any cameras, I just get an empty image. ./events is on the / partition... ./events/1 and ./events/2 are on their own partitions. But it seems like ZM has no idea that they are starting to run out of space.

I have a separate file system (and disk) for each camera that I have and the OS and ZM are on they're own FS. (I was running out of space and it was bringing the system down). I haven't filled up one of these disks yet, but will this trigger the disk full filter, or is it going to look at the df ...

Genius!!! I am not sure why I had that set, but that did it! Not sure why I didn't think of that, with the changing IP address and all.. Works great now!

I noticed that too... I think it must be how my wireless provider does it... It works everywhere else that I've ever tried it. If I manage to view it on my phone not in xhtml format (?format=html) then it still does not look right... just get that big enpty box with an x looking at me.

tried turning on extended debugging, but I really didn't see anything more then I usually do. Maybe I did something wrong.

When I view my camera on my phone (Treo 750, Windows mobile). I usually don't get images. If I click on montage, if I'm lucky, I see two of the four cameras show up (usually I only see 0 or 1). Every night it seems that I get very large events filling up my hard drive. Each morning I have to go in and erase the events. I am running 1.22.2 (with the cameras set in modect), is anyone else seeing this kind of behavior? I thought that there was a ceiling on the largest event size. localhost 1 ...
