right on the money bbunge. Thanks. Resolved socket_sendto error in ubuntu . just had change PATH_ZMS as above. other than following the easy install for 1.30 was to " Remove any stale sockets from /tmp/zm (default location): sudo rm -vf /tmp/zm/*.*" bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/zoneminder/+bug ...
