I temporarily moved some of my events folders, am I screwed?
A few days ago, the www partition on my ZM server was very close to full. I did not want to purge any old events, so to keep the server running, I temporarily moved some of my events folders to another drive. So, last night I upgraded the drives. Now that I have lots of free space, I moved some of t...

Heh, yeah, I guess I just suck with following through... I thought I had ordered a 1 million candlepower infrared light, but it was just a regular floodlight with some kind of infrared coating to trap heat or to project more light or something. There are some actual infrared floodlights available fo...

Trash or Recycle Bin
There are times, like on a windy day, where I'll have a bunch of events where nothing happened. I'll have to go through and delete tens or hundreds of events of trees blowing in the wind or of shadows moving. But after I've clicked delete a hundred times, every once in a while, my trigger finger wil...

I'm pretty sure that I just used the default user and password. In /usr/local/etc/zm.conf, I have the following: --------------------- # ZoneMinder database user ZM_DB_USER=zmuser # ZoneMinder database password ZM_DB_PASS=zmpass --------------------- I don't think I changed it to anything. Everythin...

Access denied when running zmupdate.pl
I'm trying to upgrade from 1.22.0 to 1.22.1. I ran configure and make install. Then I ran: zmupdate.pl –version=1.22.0 [--user=zm_user --pass=zm_pass] But I get the following error: Warning, overriding installed ./zm.conf file with local copy Update agent starting at 06/05/01 00:27:05 Initiating dat...

I have to change source setting every time after reboot
I was doing some cleaning and tweaking on my Gentoo machine. I updated a bunch of software, then (a bit carelessly) ran etc-update to update all my configuration files. Then I noticed that some of my module config files (modprobe.conf) had changed. So I had to add "bttv options card=77,77"...

Any way to concatenate a bunch of mpeg files?
I have a few hundred events saved from zoneminder as mpeg files. I'd like to combine them all into one long mpeg file (ordered by date). Does anyone have any ideas for an easy way to do this? I know I could load them up in Premiere or some other video editing program, but it seems like it would take...

Memory leak / buffer overrun
I have an Athlon 64 server running Gentoo, with 1 GB RAM and 1 GB swap memory and I'm running modect on 3 cameras. Under most conditions, the load is below 1%. But every once in a while, the server will stop responding or will respond slowly. When I check /var/log/messages, I see tons of buffer over...
