Re: if it were stolen?
Use cloud storage. That way the thief would have to steal the entire cloud to take your footage.

Kerberos.io - A new competitor in the FOSS surveillance arena?
Has anyone checked this project out yet? I'm skeptical of their camera hardware support.

Question on status of Amazon S3 support
I apologize in advance if this is the wrong place to post, but I wanted to inquire about the current status of ZoneMinder and Amazon S3. I guess this would be a simple non-issue if you can dump a data directory to the cloud, but would probably be useful to someone technically inclined.

Update on Microsoft lifecam support request
I reached out to Microsoft and asked them about releasing Linux drivers for their lifecam suite and though I didn't receive an answer, Microsoft did a blurb several days later about Skype for Linux Beta being released. Though this is a far cry from what I initially asked, it means that products like ...

Re: Drag and drop camera windows to sort views
Baylink, thanks for the technical rundown and yes you're definitely on track. I'm guessing the ZM project isn't quite at the level I'd like it to be, so I went ahead and donated. Out of curiosity, do you happen to know if anyone with ZoneMinder sought someone, whether it be through GSoC or another ...

Re: Drag and drop camera windows to sort views
Hi Baylink, I need to make an apology. My initial request was to drag and drop camera windows, but I should have asked for dragging and reorganizing (and maybe auto-scale or a manual resolution slider at the bottom right corner of the video feed) the different camera feed windows in the Montage ...

Re: Drag and drop camera windows to sort views
That would be the Montage Review screen. What would it take to speed up development/implementation of this feature?

Drag and drop camera windows to sort views
Hi,
I would like to see drag-n-drop camera windows to sort views in the main dashboard showing all the webcams. I'm guessing maybe some kind of code rewrite to support HTML5 would make this possible.
Thanks!
