Unable to export logs
I'm trying to diagnose a few issues that I think are probably just setup things, but I can't get to the logs. I can only view what's displayed on the screen which goes back just a few minutes. Whenever I try to export (in any format), I get a 500 Internal Server Error. Nothing shows in the log about ...

Re: Hi-Def stream events won't play: Black box with error indicating server problem or that the format is not supported
Lowering the frames from 30 to 25fps seems to have fixed it.

Re: Choppy/Skipping playback of events
Also try the ffmpeg monitor type instead of the old Remote. I tried this, but I must be doing something wrong. It no longer connects to the camera with this change. I tried to export the logs, but got a 500 error on export, so I've attached a copy-paste of the log. Apologies if this is a simple ...

Re: Ubuntu - How to draw the zone box???
When you click add new zone, it should have the entire box highlighted in RED, with 4 green dots in each corner. You can move these dots to draw the box; and at the bottom of the page you will see where each dot has it's x and y coordinates, and next to each is a plus and a minus sign. If you need a ...

Hi-Def stream events won't play: Black box with error indicating server problem or that the format is not supported
I'm running 1.34 on Ubuntu 20.04 with 24gb ram. I have 2 streams from the same camera, one is a lower resolution stream to trigger events and always record, the other is a 2699x1520 stream. Bothworked fine as JPEG; however, when I switched to x264 encoding, only the low resolution stream will play ...

Choppy/Skipping playback of events
I am just standing up a new zoneminder instance and currently have one Hikvision dome camera connected. It has a sub-stream which triggers the main channel. When playing back the main channel's events, the video is very choppy, the progress bar stops then jumps, and the videos are choppy as well ...

Re: Can't get Hikvision DS-2CD2385FWD-I setup
I finally figured out the problem: I am an idiot. I could not figure out why I was getting a 401 error when trying to stream from VLC, but was able to log-in to the camera with the same password (copy-pasted from password manager, so no chance of typo). I finally pasted the password into the camera ...

Re: Can't get Hikvision DS-2CD2385FWD-I setup
<Edit> So far I am not having luck with Wireshark. I tried filtering by RTSP when I go to the camera page and get nothing. I ran it during VLC when trying to connect, and it showed me getting "401 not authorized" errors. I am going to try it in Windows now (was in Linux) using IE, since apparently ...

Re: Can't get Hikvision DS-2CD2385FWD-I setup
You should not be setting max FPS anywhere on ZM for remote or FFMPEG. Max FPS is only used for local cameras. I'll try leaving it blank. In the Hikvision Wiki it says to set it slightly higher than the camera, and from reading it is apparently to keep CPU usage in check if the camera drops off ...

Can't get Hikvision DS-2CD2385FWD-I setup
Hello, I'm trying to install my first camera, a Hikvision DS-2CD2385FWD-I. I'm running 1.30.4 on Ubuntu 16.04 on a dual xeon server with 24gb of ram. I have read the Wiki on HikVision, and done every google search I can think of. If I select ffmpeg, and put the RTSP://user:pass@ip:port/Streaming ...
