Re: master - 1.33.9~2019061210557-bionic Web console won't stay logged in
Just did it to me again; this time it was EXACTLY on the hour; I think it has been before but this was the first time I caught that.

Re: master - 1.33.9~2019061210557-bionic Web console won't stay logged in
I'm seeing the same behavior on 1.33.14, for what it's worth. Had no issues before; console would stay logged in unless I let my computer go to sleep. Now it is randomly getting kicked out.

Re: IP Camera Motion Detection
Zonestorm's suggestion of letting ZM watch a lower-res stream and record the high-res stream sounds like a reasonable compromise; has anyone gotten that to work? I use this approach with all my cameras. The 'main' streams are configured as 'Nodect' while the 'sub' streams are configured as 'Modect ...

Re: how are zones order processed?
I have a similar problem, and had a similar experience - there's a driveway across the street facing my camera. Whenever the neighbour turns his car on I get an alarm from the headlights; I created a preclusive zone right where the headlights are but never had any success. I guess that explains it!

Re: FFMPEG + Rotate = Low Frame Rate
What is the resolution of your camera? I have no issues with the substream on this camera, which I'm using for motion detection. The main stream at full HD resolution is another story though...

Re: Setting up Zoneminder for the first time
Most newer (as in made in the last few years) cameras will work with the ONVIF tool built in to Zoneminder. Click the 'Source' tab, then click the 'ONVIF' link at the top; it'll scan your local network for ONVIF-compliant cameras (which the Hikkvision probably is) and will fill in the config options ...

Re: FFMPEG + Rotate = Low Frame Rate
Some details: - ZM can easily reach the camera frame rate with libvlc whether rotation is enabled or not (just no h.264 passthru) - The frame rate drop isn't entirely consistent; it tends to be variable. I haven't been able to find a rhyme or reason as to this variability. At best I can reach 5ish ...

FFMPEG + Rotate = Low Frame Rate
I posted a while back around an issue I was having with an h.264 camera and Zoneminder; long story short I have been unable to get anything reasonable as a frame rate from the main stream using FFMPEG. LibVLC works fine, but doesn't work with h.264 passthrough. I narrowed the issue down today to the ...

Re: Viewing event in zmninja causes this error..
If I try requesting the same URL directly (in my error log above it was /zm/api/events/5739.json) I get the same error, so this is definitely an API issue as opposed to a ZMNinja issue...

Re: Viewing event in zmninja causes this error..
You might want to try the fix Rockedge came up with for Bionic with PHP7.2. I suspect that some changes have been made to Ubuntu 17.10 in prep for 18.04. My environment is on 16.04 and PHP7.0, so unlikely to be related. that looks like some problem in the API. I have not seen this error before ...

Re: Viewing event in zmninja causes this error..
I just upgraded my system to 1.31.39 yesterday, I'm experiencing the same issue with ZMNinja. Everything works fine in the browser, zmninja shows the "could not retrieve frame details" error. I also see this in my Zoneminder logs: 2018-03-21 10:28:46.438171 web_php 13822 FAT Can't create frame ...

Re: GeoVision EFD2100 + Zoneminder = TROUBLE
Some further troubleshooting / experimenting.... I can play the stream fine from both ffmpeg (using ffplay) and VLC on my Ubuntu machine... The frame rate in Zoneminder for the MAIN STREAM appears to match whatever I set the 'Group of Picture(GOP) Size' setting on the camera to; if I set it to an I ...
