Modect-Nodect slow to start linked recordings
I am using a low-res substream to capture alarms (Modect) and then linking the main stream to record the high-res (Nodect). I am having an issue where the linked monitor recording seems to start very late. One example today where I was coming into my house and the sub alarm and recording caught most ...

Re: After upgrade from 1.30x, seeing "NaN:NaN:NaNs" and other issues on events
No javascript errors. Here's the whole console output when the event page is loaded: zoomrotate: Start videojs.zoomrotate.js:5 zoomrotate: Init defaults videojs.zoomrotate.js:10 zoomrotate: Init Extend videojs.zoomrotate.js:72 zoomrotate: End enable-tooltip.ts:143 [Deprecation] HTML Imports is ...

After upgrade from 1.30x, seeing "NaN:NaN:NaNs" and other issues on events
Just upgraded to 1.32.2 from 1.30.x and when viewing events I notice a few issues. For example, the framerate playback and other info is displaying weirdly: Mode: Replay Rate: 0x Progress: NaN:NaN:NaNs Zoom: 0x It shows that for all events when I am playing them back. I dug around in the httpd and ...

Re: [SOLVED] no score despite movement in frame and med/high sensitivity
The previous post indicates how I got it working -- I diddled the zones and diddled the settings. If you're not getting any scores then the combination of your zone and your thresholds isn't being triggered. If you share a screenshot of your various zones and their settings, we might be able to ...

video export seems worse quality than watching footage?
I noticed that when I exported a video, the quality seemed worse than watching it in the stream or looking at individual images.
Any idea why that might be?

Re: zoneminder "video generation failed" due to strange sh error
OK, ran perl with the debugger and here's where the error is: main::(/usr/bin/zmvideo.pl:222): my $video_file = $Event->GenerateVideo( $rate, $fps, $scale, $size, $overwrite, $format ); Here's the line in GH: https://github.com/ZoneMinder/zoneminder/blob/1.30.4/scripts/zmvideo.pl.in#L222 So it has ...

Re: zoneminder "video generation failed" due to strange sh error
It appears to be an error in zmvideo.pl itself: [root@416b25c0d2d4 /]# /usr/bin/zmvideo.pl -e 3937 sh: -y: invalid option Usage: sh [GNU long option] [option] ... sh [GNU long option] [option] script-file ... [SOLVED] zoneminder "video generation failed" due to strange sh error
Dug around in the logs and found the following in the apache and video logs when trying to generate the video: ==> zoneminder/zmvideo.log <== 07/16/18 13:10:14.787423 zmvideo[1182].INF [Creating video file Event-3937-r1-s1.avi for event 3937] ==> httpd/error_log <== sh: -y: invalid option Usage: sh ...

Re: no score despite movement in frame and med/high sensitivity
OK, after diddling my zones and diddling the settings, mocord is working. I ended up with 4 zones covering various areas of the frame (street, driveway, etc) and it seems to be capturing scores for when cars drive by on the street, which is good.

Re: no score despite movement in frame and med/high sensitivity
Interestingly I switched to "modetect" and that actually worked. I got some scores and some events/recordings.
The question is - why doesn't mocord work (no scores)?

[SOLVED] no score despite movement in frame and med/high sensitivity
New to ZoneMinder although I've been poking at it a long time. At this point I have one camera monitoring my front yard, more or less. Despite lots of movement (car driving by) my zone detection/alarm still seems to score at zero. For this camera I am only using the "All" zone with a slight ...
