Re: Database upgrade fails
If the problem with constantly being redirected to "permission denied" didn't seem to be a common and so far unresolved issue, I might take the time to troubleshoot the other problems. I did check my php.ini, my time zone is set correctly and matches the system timezone. Before I downgraded I did ...

Re: Database upgrade fails
Well I did eventually get the database and zoneminder working. I used mysqldump to dump the whole zm database, recreated the database and ran zmupdate.pl. Everytime zmupdate.pl gave me an error I read the script zmupdudate was running to see which table I needed to recreate. dropped the affected ...

Re: Database upgrade fails
Can anyone tell me if I can backup my monitor configuration?
I would like to just backup the monitor configuration, delete and reinstall zoneminder and then just import the monitor config. Can anyone tell me if this possible?

Re: Database upgrade fails
Ok, i had to create a mysql error log file. Is there anyway to recover a corrupt database or a way to create a new one? The contents of the mysql error log follow: 180926 16:27:47 mysqld_safe Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /var/lib/mysql 180926 16:27:47 [Warning] option 'max_connections ...

Re: 404 not found
I get the same error after upgrading from 1.30.4 to 1.32.0. I ran "sudo systemctl status -l zoneminder" and it told me to to run the "zmupdate.pl" but the update script hangs at version 1.31.11

Re: Database upgrade fails
Where is the "log table" located?
I checked the /var/log/mariadb/mariadb.log and it is blank.

Re: Database upgrade fails
Ok let me rephrase that. What is usually in the database? What is it used for?
If the database is only motion detection events I would be perfectly happy to delete the database and recreate it if someone can tell me how.

Re: Database upgrade fails
Where can I look for the log?
What exactly is in the database? Is it just the motion detection events? or does it have all my configuration in it too? is there a way I can just delete the database and create a new one?

Database upgrade fails
Hi, I updated my CentOS7 zoneminder installation to 1.32.0 from 1.30.4. After the update I ran the zmupdate.pl script but it hangs on upgrading the database to 1.31.11. I have tried running zmupdate -u root -p (password) and i edited my my.cnf file and added net_read_timeout = 6000 and net_write ...

Re: ZM not displaying any camera streams
I have a similar issue. Sometimes the video feeds are not properly displayed in firefox and safari, there will just be a question mark where the video should be. The montage view never works properly in firefox, it is always a single column even though 4 wide grid is selected. Safari seems to work ...

Re: High disk utilization
Are your sure that the disk is actually full? I was having an issue where zoneminder was showing 95% disk usage after only a few hours. I found out that my zoneminder was recording to the "root" directory / partition and that "root" was only 3.3gb instead of the 4.4tb "user" directory / partition. I ...

Re: Blue Screen on feed from remote dvr
My company has several DVRs with out hard drives connected to analogue NTSC cameras, as well as a number of newer IP cameras spread around several remote locations and our main building. We use zoneminder to centrally record and monitor the video feeds from the DVRs and IP cameras that are spread ...

Re: Blue Screen on feed from remote dvr
If I enter "http://192.168.0.24/cgi-bin/view.cgi?ch ... p=password" into my browser, Firefox starts downloading a file called "view.cgi" I can open that file in VLC. I have not been able to get VLC to open the stream directly.

Re: Blue Screen on feed from remote dvr
VLC shows the video file to be 704x480 resolution. I set this as the resolution in the zoneminder monitor and I just get a larger blue screen.
