Re: Rovio as video source plus PTZ
Hello, I've spent some time playing with my Wowee Rovio. I've managed to get it working as a monitor and recently hacked together a PTZ control file to drive it from the Zoneminder web interface. I have also written a 2-3 page guide on how to get it working. I'd like to contribute this, but am not ...

@Ryu the patch works fine with latest zm and the Trendnet TV-IP301 and the Sparklan CAS-861 (tested). Keep sure that mpeg4 output of the cam is disabled, mpeg4 output from this cams does not work with zm. regards Frank Also, I don't recommend upgrading the firmware on your TV IP301 cam if you've ...

Re: Trendnet tv-ip301 cam
I should also mention now that I've given up on the Trendnet IPTV-301 cam and zoneminder. I was able to get ZM to connect and retrieve images from the camera. This seemed to work well, and I was capturing motion events just as I could with any other IP cam. I found out after a few days that ZM ...

I'm stuck
It looks like other people have the Trendnet TV-IP301 working with zoneminder. My ZM setup(s) is 1.22.3 and 1.23.1. Some on virtual hardware, some on physical. The host OS is ubuntu dapper LTS 6.06 with latest patches. I have several servers polling local and IP cams, both virtual and physical. The ...

I'm not sure if it would be proper to set the incorrect mime type in ZM code. it's only a quick and dirty fix for some setups but not for the mainstream sources of zm, I have contacted the vendors Trendnet and Sparklan for a fix in firmware, but no response yet. Thanks. I updated the firmware on my ...

inclusion in distro source?
My little patch also work with ZoneMinder 1.22.3, and when you work with a recompile version from sources with these applied patch the php script from apoullion are obsolete. The patch is only a dirty workaround for the buggy cam firmware's which send a wrong mimetype while fetching a image from ...

The php script produced unnecessary load on the server when using more than 1 cameras from the same type. Here is a little patch so you can request the images directly from camera via path: /goform/video --- src/zm_remote_camera.cpp.orig 2008-01-31 12:40:17.134369426 +0100 +++ src/zm_remote_camera ...

Re: How about Dapper support?
Does anyone have a tutorial for upgrading ZM 1.22.3 on Ubuntu 6.06 server to 1.23.1? The wiki has documentation on upgrading: http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/Documentation#Upgrading I followed it for upgrading my ZM 1.22.3 install to 1.23.1 and it worked fine for me. Don't use the new deep ...

How about Dapper support?
Hello, This tutorial is great. I thought I would try it on a Dapper system as I have several ZM machines, all ZM 1.22.3 and Ubuntu 6.06 LTS. I prefer LTS because of it's long term support to 2011. I noticed right away that there was no libcurl4-openssl-dev package for dapper. I also noticed alot of ...

Thanks!
I was hoping it would be. I just wasn't sure if there were major differences in how the data/databases work between versions.cordel wrote:It should be fairly simple to do. You can stop the zm service, move or copy the evvents to the new machine, then dump the database and load it on the new machine.
Thanks!

Migrate data from old ZM server to new ZM server
I'm using ZM 1.2.2 on a p42Ghz with 512 MB ram. It works great with 6 IP cams. I have another ZM 1.2.1 server doing CCTV with 2 BTTV Cards/analog cams serving images to the first server. I built my main server 1.2.2 from the Live CD. I'd like to run it on Ubuntu instead of Mandrake. I'd also like to ...
