Re: "Possible" memory problem in Zoneminder 1.34.16 with Eventserver 5.15+CUDA

Here's what i did 1) triggered two alarms at 19.07.16 (monitor 1 and 2) Monitor 1 last line logged at 19:07:20 zmesdetect_m1[22451] DBG1 yolo.py:88 [YOLO initialization (loading model from disk) took: 111.058 milliseconds] 2) got exception 3) triggered one alarm at 19.08.21 (not notified but got no ...

Re: "Possible" memory problem in Zoneminder 1.34.16 with Eventserver 5.15+CUDA and linked monitors

is there an easy way to keep an "eye" on the process so to restart it if hangs or crashes? the fallback could serve in the meanwhile i was talking about mlapi process. zm_detect didn't hang, tried to load model (initializing yolo) and nothing else gets logged until another event triggers (spawning ...

Re: "Possible" memory problem in Zoneminder 1.34.16 with Eventserver 5.15+CUDA and linked monitors

i will thanks, as you may have already guessed mlapi keeps both models cached and i don't have enough gpu ram for them. perhaps tinyyolo and face will. i'd prefer a way to enqueue detections, some lag is better than a chance to miss them... i think is there an easy way to keep an "eye" on the ...

Re: "Possible" memory problem in Zoneminder 1.34.16 with Eventserver 5.15+CUDA and linked monitors

I should have thought that before... it's much more immediate. It shows the same exception but doesn't crash and this is good! :) I am not sure if your controlled tests mimic a real life situation. i'm not sure how the hell i tested the 3 concurrent alarms since it's not working anymore now... i ...

Re: "Possible" memory problem in Zoneminder 1.34.16 with Eventserver 5.15+CUDA and linked monitors

Hi asker, i will check but i already did a similar test i don't know if it can be considered valid. As a final test i made a really rough benchmark (but consistent for me) on gpu memory usage using nvidia-smi. i observed in about 10 positive tests a gradual increase of memory usage (at 1s interval ...

"Possible" memory problem in Zoneminder 1.34.16 with Eventserver 5.15+CUDA

Hi, As for the topic i encountered unexpected out of memory problems with cuda enabled in ZM and ES. I solved it by stopping using the link monitor function but, as you will (hopefully!) read in the next "chapters" this is not necessary the only source of the problem. For this reason i don't wanna ...

Re: Logged password and upgrade suggestion

Thank you very much iconnor for your follow up as well as for all the efforts you put in this project
if you use it in production then i'm pretty sure it's stable enough for my home use or anyway it's worth a try

Logged password and upgrade suggestion

Hi all, i just migrated my 1.32.3 installation to 1.34.16 without any problem, i'm very happy about that. i noticed that same as with 1.32 some zm logs (like zmc_mX) still logs camera password in clear text like this: 07/13/20 10:05:16.110304 zmc_m1[19752].INF-zm_ffmpeg_camera.cpp/202 [Priming ...

Re: ONVIF http auth issue?

Hi, i just wanna try to help because i had the same issue at the beginning. Onvif probe isn't able to enumerate the video profiles (same problem as yours) probably we're doing something wrong. Anyway i solved this way. Consider that i'm using v1.32.3 and i can't say if something is different in your ...

Re: Receive udp stream

It's a drone, DJI Tello. A really cool device unfortunately i have no much info about that. i found that a group of clever guys made a lot of reverse engineering discovering among other things that the video is plain h264 encoded YUV420p stream. i don't know if i can post the link to the forum, if ...

Receive udp stream

hi guys, i have a device which streams video over udp. The doc says: Receive Video Stream Set up a UDP server on PC, Mac or Mobile device and listen the message from IP 0.0.0.0 via UDP PORT 11111 that's all. i honestly don't get it so i'm asking if there's a way to setup such a monitor in zm 1.32.3 ...

This mande a difference! thanks! now i can watch each camera and it's pretty smooth! but montage still hangs. i don't know if there's something else i could tweak this one was not present in Firefox: network.http.max-connections-per-server -> put a value of 100 i guess it is: network.http.max ...

Re: Low end hardware just for watching at cameras

When it does play the streaming video, df -h on my netbook shows a shm use of 4-5%
i thought this was normal since my netbook doesnt run zm it only connects to an existing server.
Maybe i should use zmninja better? i don't know if there's a version for ubuntu

Low end hardware just for watching at cameras

Hi all! i recently found an old Samsung netbook and i thought i could use it as a fixed monitor hanged to the wall. So i installed lubuntu 19.04 from scratch and used Firefox to connect to my zm web interface. my already existant zm installation works well in my lan/wan/zmninja and video plays ...
