Zoneminder Linked to Samsung SmartThings for alarm triggers
For anyone that is interested in being able to trigger alarms to the camera from Samsung Smartthings, I found a fairly easy solution. TriggerCMD. It’s a simple program that you install on a computer/server that is on you LAN and running 24/7, from it you can remotely run preconfigured commands. Well, ...

Re: OMG Snow!!
@ibdroid Do you mind sharing your settings and how do you accomplish this? I have my camera set up constantly record, it's an h264 stream and set up as passthrough mode. It's a low resolution substream that I use for motion detection. 8 fps at 720p. And according to ZM in less than 24 hours it used ...

Re: No outline on alarmed events
Seems like they are. I tested by going to Audit Event Retorts, from there I can click on "first event", "last event" etc.. To get to an actual alarmed event. From there I can watch actual footage of the even with red underlined timeline during detected motion. I can click on "frames" to see alarmed ...

No outline on alarmed events
I have several cameras running on ZM, some are outside and I recently decided to fine tune them as I am getting way too many false positive motion events due to weather changes. After reading up on forums on how to do that I noticed a lot of people saying they get an outline of the blob where the ...

Re: How to trigger an alarm with Smartthings?
Smartthings definitely works with IFTTT. If ZM can be triggered by IFTTT, that would be awesome. I am sure there would be a lot more other applications and use cases that people would come up with if "works with IFTTT" was one of its features. Although I have not used IFTTT so far as I have not ...

Re: How to trigger an alarm with Smartthings?
Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I guess my main problem in going forward with any of those is, I am mainly a network guy and I don't know much about programming/scripting. I have started dabbling with linux some time ago but I am still miles away from being able to create scripts or write ...

How to trigger an alarm with Smartthings?
Hi everyone, I am new to ZM, just installed it last week and so far I am in love with it. I have setup a PC with Lubuntu 18.04 and installed ZM on it with 3 cameras. I think I originally installed 1.32 version but after all was up and running I added master repository, forced the update, and I'm ...
