ok .. thank so -- i have no over arching reason to update to 24.0x ... i just usually like to stay "current" whatever that means.

if 22 will be around long enough, then i'll keep applying security patches and await further orders.

All good now. I managed to get things back to the original issue (BROKEN IMAGE ICONS), and was able to fix the dns on the OPTIONS in the console that were accessing the old URL /dns name. Now everything is fine... Until the next fiasco...

Is it an issue to do a release upgrade to 22.04.1 of Ubuntu, or will I need to reinstall ZM etc.?

So is there any reason i couldn't just update watch.php? Doing so with the added line as indicated in the link you shared, resulted in the date/time showing up without modifying the snapshots.php?
