[RESOLVED] Access the entire file system
I have v1.37.61 with all default settings (me think). I can use, https://host/zm/index.php?view=files&path=/ to access the entire file system. Is there a setting to limit access to /var/cache/zoneminder/ only? Or do I need to restrict access to user www-data by setting the right file permissions ...

[SOLVED] Video slider for skipping forward/backward stops working
Thanks to Issac and his team that Zoneminder 1.36 on Debian works so well for me in the last few years. I decided to be a little more adventurous and updated to 1.37. It is great that CPU load drops a lot. There were a few quirks including Montage Review not working, which was reported here. MY ...

[SOLVED] Re: No Route to Host
My (Tue Sep 12, 2023) problem is now resolved. It possibly was a transient hiccup on the zoneminder repository. It has nothing to do with the file sizes either, at least not in this directory. I don't know enough debian repository directory structure to make a judgement.

[SOLVED] Re: No Route to Host
With my Debian bookworm box, I do a sudo apt-get update as I usually do. However, I encounter a no route to host error. What seems to be odd is the file sizes in the directory concerned. Any idea is welcome. Ta Ign:6 https://zmrepo.zoneminder.com/debian/release-1.36 bookworm/ InRelease Ign:6 https ...

Upgrading from 1.36.x to 1.36.33 on Debian
I had installed Zoneminder three years ago. I thank Isaac Connor and his team that it works so well. I have updated my installation for the first time to 1.36.33 this week. It is not much, but I hope my experience would help novices like me. It is based on one installation on one machine by one ...

Re: [SOLVED] Re: DB errors in /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl/ZoneMinder/Config.pm
Hi Magic919, Thank you very much for your input! However, zm_update-1.36.18.sql does not exist in the 1.36.17 version (for obvious reasons). So I first updated zoneminder-common (and zoneminder-httpd) and then applied the command. Since I’m not so fond of databases, let me first line up my steps: ...

Well done. Your post (and my reply) is decidedly a “Non-ZoneMinder Chat”.

Logging levels
Hi, there. I have v1.36.12 from the zmrepo. Just out of curiosity. I wonder why the default setting for LOG_LEVEL_SYSLOG is "Debug", which flooded /var/log/syslog
Options > Logging > LOG_LEVEL_SYSLOG

Re: Axis 223M
I have tried a lot. Perhaps if you will tell what have you tried. If I understand you correctly, you have installed Zoneminder correctly according to https://zoneminder.readthedocs.io/en/stable/installationguide/index.html . What left to be done is camera settings https://wiki.zoneminder.com ...

Re: Axis 223M
I was told that most Axis cameras will work. I am quite new here but manage to get a couple of M3025-VE to work with relative ease. Perhaps, if you will tell us where you got stuck. Below please find a manual for your camera. All required information might well be in there. https://www.axis.com ...

Cantonese translation (was: Re: Translation Help Wanted!!)
I am really so sorry. I worked on a Cantonese translation for a bit and thought that I would have finished it at some point. However, I didn't really have enough time in the last few months. Here is an half-baked version of zh_hk.php. It might still be usable.

Sorry for chipping in. I got a kit (Coral Edge TPU USB Accelerator), but don't know where to start. Any guidance for dummies is welcomed. Ta.
