Infrared-Capable Network Cameras?
Has anyone got experience or recommendations as to a network camera - preferably wireless - that supports infrared, yet meshes nicely with ZoneMinder? A friend of mine wanted me to do a Zoneminder setup at his house, and he mentioned with some enthusiasm a bundle he had seen at Costco of a whole ...

Re: Grabbing Still JPEG
I can't find a way to grab simple JPEG images from the camera. I seem to be stuck with ASF or (apparently broken or somehow "special") MJPEG.

Processing the ASF file
OK, now the procmail recipe calls a script that not only extracts the ASF file, but also mplayer-converts it to a set of jpegs in a temporary directory, which get copied one per second to a particular filename in the /tmp directory. The monitor for that camera points at that filename. So, once the ...

Video files retrieved from network camera
I was trying to pursue a workaround for this nasty Linksys camera I bought, by having it e-mail files to the machine hosting ZoneMinder. These .asf files get munpacked from the incoming e-mail and dumped to /tmp/video.asf, and I've pointed a monitor at them, but it doesn't really seem to appreciate ...

RE: WVC54GC
Thank you for your reply.
I went through that posting, to see if it would get me as far as vague, partial functionality, but it looks as though Linksys has changed the CGI in this firmware, so that that trick does not work any more.
I will see if I can send it back.

Motion JPEG Camera (Linksys WVC54GC)
Greetings, fellow users and esteemed developers. I was curious to learn if anyone else happens to be using the WVC54GC ethernet/wireless video camera from Linksys - or, more specifically, using it with success. Before trying this particular device, I did some searching and reading to determine that ...
