I installed zoneminder some months ago, and finally want to use it for real... has been running, and doing fine (images and streams are being captured as it should when movement is there...) For some reason, I don't get streaming or stills when looking at the monitor. When zm recorded an alarm, I ...

Don't know what exactly I did, but I changed the zone setup and the orientation of the camera (mounted it onto another wall), and redid config. It seems to work now, without any errors... No idea what happened Weird thing is: The physical setup of the camera never changed in the past 4 years. I just ...

Hi guys, After having my setup running for the last few months, after a reinstall of the whole machine onto debian etch, running latest kernels and other updates, I'm having a serious problem, started about a week ago, but left unnoticed until this evening... When looking into the admin console, I ...

hi
I have the exact same error: 'exit code 11' on a modect monitor... The monitor goes orange after 2-3 seconds, and the messages keep appearing in the logs. Also, as you said, the 'force alarm' is gone... Did you find the cur'e for your issue? I tried everything that could have been causing problems ...

You can use nagios to check on the availability of both the host (pings etc) and the service (ftp, http, ...) of the network camera's and other things. I use it to monitor my network connectivity, servers and their most important services like http, dns, ftp, ssh... I even monitor my switches and ...

if I use the 'triggers' option, enabling or disabling monitors will stop 'recording' when something/someone passes the camera??? The X.10 stuff works in what way? I have noooo real experience in this matter... Just gave it a try, and ZM does the job perfectly. Now, after running standard features, I ...

Hmmmm I've been looking at this for the past few weeks too. When you hook a simple keypad with builtin code memory, and a relay contact, you can hook ik up onto the serial port, and read out the status every x seconds... If status = X, then start service, if status = !X then stop service. You can ...

Hi guys! I just wanted to ask if anyone has an idea, working scenario, or whatever to have sort of an 'on-off function' for Zoneminder. I installed ZM over half a year ago now, and I _looooove_ it!! I use it as a 'guard' for my front door (inside watchguard of who's coming in thruogh the door) but I ...

Recommended IP network camera's???
Hi, I'm working on a small cctv project for a friend of mine, and we were wondering (without putting too much costs in it) what models and brands of IP camera's go well with Zoneminder? If anyone has any experience in this, and wants to share his/her knowledge with us, please let me know! Thanks ...

No video mpeg file output
I've recently installed a fresh FC4 and installed the ffmpeg libs and utils from rpmfind.net from the sourceforge rpm's.
