I managed to get it working, here's what I posted in the hints & tips section...

I finally managed to get it to work on boot up to get it working just do...

cd /etc/init.d/rc5.d
ln -s ../zm S10zm
ln -s ../zm K10zm

Now mine safely boot's up and shut's down.

I set it on both the axis web interface and the zm interface using 24 bit colour

I installed just yesterday a axis 205 using the following...

Remote host Name = 192.168.1.x.x
Remote host Port = 80
Remote Host Path = /jpg/image.jpg

Only problem I had is that I had to set the camera to 320x240 and now working great, this was done on SuSE 10.0

Hmm, I remeber something/read somewhere that this had something to do with Vmware running or doing something?! a while ago now...

I run SME Server on VMware and that's based on centos 4.3 have no issue's here

Now I have it up and running, I have it set to motion detect and I was interested on how many "events" are equivalent to say 100MB or 1GB roughly

I found updating to 1.22.2 very easy and didn't have no problems on my SuSE 10.0

Is the line "chmod +x zm run only before editing the file? I thought chmod returned the executable status to a file after editing? Check checking.... my knowledge is very limited. That doesn't matter when you chmod it In the line "remove the line related to include functions" . Could...

3/I never did manage to get zm to start at boot time, I had to run sudo zmpkg.pl start everytime. I've also figured this out found out that I needed to set path as /dev/video0 but because I left channel as 0 it wouldn't work till I started xawtv but once I changed channel to 1 it work from reboot, hope this helps a fellow newbie

Well I don't know why this did not start this time :? but I found the change I needed, so here it is if anyone else get's into this, I found I needed to enable... Using the latest version of ZM and SuSE 10.0 I've already built one and following (which has changed but I can only remeber then svr to srv being changed) I now get error on login on to localhost/zm.php Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mysql_pconnect() in /srv/www/htdocs/zm_db.php on line 21...

They may have just upgraded to php5, yes without knowing wat he actually did we will not know, If I get any time I may download the latest (am looking at FC5 atm to use ZM with as it seems like the preferred base for running zm)

I'm still using version 10.0 as .1 only came out a last week so I'm not sure what's in the 10.1 version, from scanning that list of difference's it seems 10.1 comes with php5?!
