Re: Javascript issues after update to 1.36.16 possibly?
This post is just to confirm that my Javacript problem was in fact due to bug #3508 . I have an apostrophe in my Web Title field which caused 1.36.16 through 1.36.19 to have the Javascript errors described in this thread's original post. My clean install after sdcard failure worked because at that ...

Re: Javascript issues after update to 1.36.16 possibly?
A follow up from me as well: I recently had a crash on the deployed system (sdcard failure). During recovery the default version installed was of course the latest -- 1.36.19. That clean install did not have the Javascript issues described in the OP. BUT, after restoring the ZM database the problem ...

Re: Javascript issues after update to 1.36.16 possibly?
Well this is odd. I was seeing the same behavior as shown in the OP. As a temp fix I downgraded to 1.36.15. All good. Now 1.36.19 is available and I saw here that the javascript issue was fixed. So I upgraded on my test system -- it works great! So next I propagate the upgrade to another system that ...

Re: ZM 1.36.17 - Montage View - "EDIT LAYOUT" functionality NOT WORKING
Just confirming that for me 1.36.16 and .17 have what appears to be javascript issues that break it pretty seriously, and that downgrading back to 1.36.15 is the temporary fix. For my Raspberry Pi 4 installation I needed to grab the Focal arm64 build from launchpad but otherwise the dpkg -i ...

Re: Zoneminder 1.36 not functional
...I'm a little excited about the future of zm. depressed about the current state of things though. 1080p seems to be the limit of what we can do. Anything else takes too long to decode/translate/motion detect even on modern processors. Nothing to be depressed about. Limits like that just mean we ...

Re: Zoneminder 1.36 not functional
Thanks for the details. Will explore db tuning as you suggest. Gotta say though the RPi4 8GB & Ubuntu 20.04 does seem to be doing quite well with ZM 1.36.5. I am now pushing it to avg cpu loads of 100% (and over -- says 4.16 at the moment) and it doesn't blink. No NaN bug on Ubuntu either. Just for ...

Re: Zoneminder 1.36 not functional
Just posting this follow-up: I did swap the SD card back into the Pi4 8GB and on that hardware the system runs rock-solid with multiple cameras. Not fragile at all. So for whatever reason on the RPi 3b, ZM 1.36.5 on Ubuntu 20.04 is fragile (runs, but seems to crash whenever it starts doing ...

Re: Zoneminder 1.36 not functional
I'll just add my situation and details here for the record. I am seeing a very fragile ZM 1.36.5 on Ubuntu Server 20.04 64bit , on a RPi 3b (2G ram). Installation was a clean install of Ubuntu followed by ZM as per the wiki procedure https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Ubuntu_Server_or_Desktop_Zoneminder_1 ...

Re: What hardware do I need for ZoneMinder1.36.x ?
As for hardware, I am working with both a Pi 3B 2GB and Pi 4 8GB. The Pi 3 is probably not enough horsepower for multiple cams at full resolution, but I'm using 2 Hikvision PTZ cams at 704x480 and 10 fps reliably. ZM v1.36 seems to use significantly less shared ram than 1.34., and Ubuntu 20.04 on ...

Re: New install of 1.34.16 and seeing seeing "NaN:NaN:NaNs" when displaying events
Just a follow up here. I did successfully install Ubuntu 20.04 and ZM 1.36.5. I can confirm that it does NOT have the NaN issue when Video Writer is Disabled. Event playback is not great -- jumpy and halts often -- still investigating why. But event playback does basically work. This process also ...

Re: New install of 1.34.16 and seeing seeing "NaN:NaN:NaNs" when displaying events
I can confirm that on my RPi4 with Buster Lite and ZM 1.36.0, changing Video Writer from Disabled to Camera Passthrough was all that it took to cure the NaN issue. "Save JPEGs" apparently can be any setting (I had "Frames and Analysis Images" selected for all of the tests above). I assume the same ...

Thanks for looking into it. Yes I have been using FFMPEG in all cases above. I will go explore other options there.

Re: New install of 1.34.16 and seeing seeing "NaN:NaN:NaNs" when displaying events
Still working this NaN issue. Time available is limited but this is what I have found so far: 1) The problem is present on all installations I have tried on my 8Gb Raspberry Pi 4. These include: - The full (and fully updated) GUI system that came with the Raspberry Pi. On this system I first ...

Re: New install of 1.34.16 and seeing seeing "NaN:NaN:NaNs" when displaying events
Well loaded another SD card into my RPi4B 8Gb with the same Buster Lite image (2021-05-07-raspios-buster-armhf-lite.img) as above, and followed exactly the install procedure above (https://wiki.zoneminder.com/Debian_10_Buster_with_Zoneminder_1.36.x_from_ZM_Repo). ZM version 1.36.0 is now up and ...

Re: New install of 1.34.16 and seeing seeing "NaN:NaN:NaNs" when displaying events
Hmm. Loaded new SD card with Buster Lite 32 bit from the link above. Installed Zoneminder _exactly_ as per the wiki procedure referenced above, _except_ I sourced v1.34 instead of 1.36. And...NaN issue is still there!! I even did the whole process twice just to make sure I didn't screw up subtly ...
