Re: same duration events
Are you sure that ZM agrees that there is motion? Turn on saving alarm frame jpegs and see what it thinks. ZM's default zone settings were design when the images were 640x480 or less. I find that I have to make them drastically more sensitive. Start by choosing1% or less for all the min alarm pixel ...

Re: same duration events
ok not so happy with mocord it just wastes space... this is all testing so I can carry on with that 64cam NVR replacement. So whats weird about modect is that sometimes it does whats needed but its still cutting off events midway when there is still motion in the frame and then other times it works ...

same duration events
Ok so this is related to the 8 second event issue, so I am experimenting at home with a single IP camera. Obviously no load issues because its only a single cam, the issue I have is events are being cut off and its creating loads of small 9 second events. My idea of a surveillance system would be ...

Re: NVR replacement ZM high CPU
so I deleted all the sub stream cameras and just have the 39 x 720p streams, I have switched to record and the load now is at Load: 10.86, I guess I would just have to play around with the setups to try and get a balance of what we need out of the system vs what it can actually do. That or revert ...

Re: NVR replacement ZM high CPU
how would I go about emulating what the OLD NVRs did in ZM? If you just want to record the streams without any motion detection or other analysis, and if the camers send AVC/h.264 video, then the best move is likely to be to set the Source Type on the General tab to FFMpeg, and to set the Video ...

Re: NVR replacement ZM high CPU
Load is not necessarily indicative of 100% cpu. I like to use htop to visualise cpu usage. The old nvrs were likely not decoding, doing motion detection, etc. Also, there is work to be done in ZM in reduce cpu use. /dev/shm is no longer indicative of anything. We are no longer using to store all ...

NVR replacement ZM high CPU
Hi I have 2 x 32 camera dahua NVRs that I am trying to replace with a single ZM server, the server is running debian bullseye with ZM 1.36.5-buster The server specs are 2 x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5620 @ 2.40GHz with hyperthreading enabled thus 8 vcpus in total, it has 64gigs of RAM and is an HP dl380 ...
