Re: Good God, MySQL Data File is 75GB, how to fix?
This sounds nuclear. What is making it so large?

Good God, MySQL Data File is 75GB, how to fix?
I initiated a backup of my /appdata folder on my Unraid server, which is where all of the files associated with ZoneMinder reside. The only files that are not in this location are the actual video files which are stored on a share. I noticed that the ZoneMinder backup folder grew to 107GB, which ...

Re: Video is being captured, but playback is not working.
VLC will play the video, but the audio is choppy after about 2 seconds from any point along the timeline.

Video is being captured, but playback is not working.
When I try to play back an event, I get a white X and an error about the video at the bottom of the player, and nothing is played. If I download the event, I can open the mp4 with Quicktime, but it won't play, however, if I scrub the playhead, the frames are there and it looks like a video was ...

ZM in Docker on Unraid - "Can't connect to local MySQL" - was working, just suddenly stopped
I don't know how to diagnose this. Until yesterday, when we had a power interruption, ZM was working perfectly fine in Unraid under a Docker container. After rebooting, I'm getting the following: Starting services... * Starting Apache httpd web server apache2 * * Stopping MariaDB database server ...

EXIF Data, is it possible to bake timecode into the files?
Occasionally I use one or more of my cameras to capture video for multi-cam content to be edited in Davinci Resolve. Problem 1: Davinci Resolve doesn't play nice with MP4 files, so I have to convert them to *.MOV files. Problem 2: Multi-cam shoots are a nightmare to sync if there's no timecode or ...

Re: Is it possible to record on motion, but stop recording after X seconds?
Okay, so currently this camera is set to a minimum length of 600 (10 minutes) and the Post Event Image Count is set to 30. I'm thinking this doesn't make logical sense. If the PEIC is less than the minimum length, then it would accomplish nothing, correct? Now, here's where I'm confused. Let's say ...

Console - Does the "DAY" column mean everything in the last 24 hours?
Is it possible to make the DAY column in the console reflect only events that have triggered since midnight? Or is there a quick way to list all events from today's day only?

Is it possible to record on motion, but stop recording after X seconds?
So, I have a camera in MODECT mode and the only setting I seem to be able to configure is the minimum amount of time the camera should record when motion is detected. What I would like is something like the following: 1. Camera detects motion and starts recording. 2. Recording is limited to 5 ...

Changing time format for events in Camera Timestamp isn't recognized...
I don't know if there's something I need to apply, restart, etc., but I wanted to change the way each camera formats the time in the event logs to M/D/Y instead of D/M/Y and switch to 12 hour time instead of 24. I made the appropriate changes, but the events are still logging the default method. Any ...

Re: Filter's limit to results doesn't work.
I'm not sure how to apply that. I'm running ZM in a docker container from dlandon/zoneminder.unraid (https://hub.docker.com/r/dlandon/zoneminder.unraid/)

Filter's limit to results doesn't work.
I'm just trying to list the most recent 40 events from a specific camera. No matter what I do, ALL events for that camera are listed. I select Filters, then Monitor Name = Camera of choice, then limit to 40, then List Matches. All events are displayed for that camera...so it's getting that right at ...

Re: Trying to migrate from one machine to another, no luck with database restore, help?
Hmm...here's something. When I run `mysql --version` on the Truenas box (source) I get Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.7.36, for FreeBSD12.2 When I run it on the Unraid docker container, I get Ver 15.1 Distrib 10.3.32-MariaDB, for debian-linux-gnu Clearly these are two different versions... How much does this ...

Re: Trying to migrate from one machine to another, no luck with database restore, help?
Howe do you have a DB with tables before importing the DB? Just clear it out and start again. Well, the first time this was the case because I had a fresh install of ZM on the unraid docker. When I ran the restore, it got stuck with a trigger error. So, I dropped the ZM database and recreated a new ...

Trying to migrate from one machine to another, no luck with database restore, help?
I have little knowledge about what I'm doing. Here's the scenario. I'm moving ZM from a Truenas Jail to an Unraid Docker container. The new ZM is up and running on the Unraid box as a docker container and has no data or events. The event path for the new instance is `/var/cache/zoneminder/events`. I ...
