I want the event list to show local time, not UTC. Complaints about this seem to go back to 2006, and apparently the problem must not impress the developers since it seems to have been pretty much ignored. That helps a lot. The other thread with the script is helpful too.
The zoom seems to start slow and then accelerate but it got me up and running and enough info that I can look at it further if I need to.

I found online some notes about setting this camera up for everything but zoom. The camera does have a 4x zoom capability. I see others have posted that they got zoom working. The default Hiksvision parameter set handles PT but does not attempt to set up Z. Can anyone suggest the settings that are ...
