Re: More than 6 inputs on 1.25.0?
I've been reading about Memory.pl and how to change the arch setting. Problem is, the file does not exist for Zoneminder. I found one at /usr/share/perl/5.14.2/CPANPLUS/Internals/Source/Memory.pm but it does not even contain the $arch string.

Re: More than 6 inputs on 1.25.0?
Also just noticed that there are a bunch of shared data size conflicts in the log. I think I may have messed up the install somewhere. I had to reboot a few times, because after a while one or more inputs would go to a green screen with only 4 fps. Odd. I wish I knew enough about Linux to ...

More than 6 inputs on 1.25.0?
For some reason I can't get the last two inputs working on my newly configured system. I remember someone saying that 1.25.0 had an issue with using more than 6 analog inputs, but I can't find the post. I'm using an 8 channel card that has the Conexant CX2388x chipset. Installed on Ubuntu Server 12 ...

Got the cards working, but still have a minor issue- ZM doesn't seem to save the montage layout view. Whichever view I last selected is still shown, but the layout itself goes back to a single column until I change the view to something different. Also noticed that most of the monitors take a long ...

VPON 4 input BT878 cards
Using 4 of these cards, but I'm not sure how to set them up. Modprobe seems to sit at a blinking cursor forever. Can anyone give me some tips? I already added bttv.conf to /etc/modprobe.d, but I'm not sure which card type to use. Here is my lspci info: 00:00.0 Host bridge: ALi Corporation M1689 K8 ...

Looks like I'll have to hold off.. just like anything else you fix one thing and yet another breaks. After completion the install would not work. I recommend selecting the direct install option, once it installs you can go to the command line and update kdm to fix the desktop problem. When I change ...

That's probably my fault for doing update/upgrades on the beta dvd. After doing all kinds of updates on packages and upgrading the kernel I ran into a problem on my virtual machine where it would keep reloading the login screen when trying to log in. I'll see if I can figure out a quick fix, but ...

ZMLarch video out of range
Using the latest ZMLarch Live CD, and the video keeps going out of range when the desktop should load. Ctrl+Alt+F1 gives me a terminal, but trying to return to the desktop goes back out of range. My monitor is 1280x1024, so it should be plenty. When in the terminal, it gives error messages about the ...

VPON VP-40 cards
I have a couple old VPON 16 channel DVR's. Each system has 4 cards with 4 inputs each. I believe they are called VP-40 cards, and are used in the VP-100 DVR and up. Has anyone tried using these cards with ZM yet? I can't stand the software that came with the system. I even got a virus off one of ...

Hardware opinions?
I am working on upgrading my ZM machine, and I have either a Pentium D 3.0Ghz (930 I think) with a Supermicro PDSMi motherboard, or an Opteron 170 with a Supermicro H8SSL-i motherboard. The Opteron seems to work well enough from what I've seen during testing, but would the Pentium D be better? It ...

The stability problems got to the point that the whole system would freeze after a day or so, so I went back to the Mandriva 2007 distro with 1.22.3. It's working better than ever now, but I forgot how to update it to 1.23.3. I know there was a 1.23.3 version of the Live CD, but I couldn't figure ...
