Perhaps you should set some advice about the field ZM_FROM_EMAIL that seems mandatory for mail configuration :)

Hello ! I tried to check the ZM_NEW_MAIL_MODULE but no success... BUT I was able to get mails sent after filling in ZM_FROM_EMAIL :) A question: is there a way to NOT to have a MPEG generated and added to the mail ? Because right now, I am getting a 500Kb mail when an event matching the filter ...

Hi Ross ! 1. Did you install from ZMliveCD_1.22.2.1. (if zmeventdump is running on events I would say yes) If from and earlier CD (Like 1.22.2) you will need to upgrade your zm RPM. Get the latest here: http://www.elltel.net/melins/mdv_2006/ I installed everything from the LiveCD "ZoneMinder LiveCD ...

Hi !

I tried what you told me Ross... Generating an alarm manually displays only that zmeventdump is executed with dump ID equl to the event generated... but nothing comes to my mail.

Any other dump I may check ?

Hi ! OK for me, if you teach me how to manage everything; perhaps i could help :) Finally, it seems that autheticated SMTP is not very common... Yahoo use it but it's not the case of most. My ISP does not seems to use authetication then I think I'll go with it... I configured ZM with smtp.free.fr as ...

Hi

I just want to add another information: you will need to create new States of ZM (one will have Cam1 active and Cam2 disabled and the other state is the reverse)... this will be usefull for your cron in order to enable/disable the cameras as you want.

Hi!

thanks for the reply... I did not know anything about suhc limitation with my ISP, that's curious.

I also tried to add UDP port 80 forwarding but still not successful...

As everything work on LAN, there's still something strange

Hello ! Hi Matt, There are two solutions. 1 ) Set the purge-when full filter. 2 ) Use a separate partition for events ie. /var should be on a different partition. Regards, Corey Is it a known problem then ? Anyway, that's the advantage of testing: once we meet the problem, we manage to avoid it in ...

Problem: disk full & nothing work anymore

Hello ! For my first test session of Zm (installed from Ross' LiveCD), I have a problem... I setup the system on a 8Gb disk (650Mb of SWAP, the rest is for Linux & ZM). PC is 2Gb of RAM and a 1.7Ghz Centrino processor. I setup an alarm area on a coridor where plenty of people are going through. I ...
