Would I be correct in assuming the new code is in the most recent development version of 1.37 and not in the production version 1.36?

Re: Video target turns transparent
So the first part (or last part) of a stream can look broken because the player joined the conversation literally in mid-stream. Thank you for the (easy to understand) explanation :-) That is likely the issue here The other Tapo Cameras (C320WS) also show errors at the start of a recording but they ...

Re: Video target turns transparent
Sorry for teh delay in following up ... I have found a way to remove the "transparency effect" In the setup for the camera, I did not want to store still images and did not need to use the Hi-res colour feed (stream1 = Monitor 4) to monitor the camera feed since I use a Lo-res grey-scale feed ...

Re: Upgrade from ZM 1.36 to 1.37
It's worth exploring. There are explanations of most of the new stuff, and if you upgraded (from 1.36) I think the majority of the settings get translated to the new. Happy to explore it :-) But I‘m wondering what‘s the correct setup in 1.37 for the following: Monitor 1: Motion detection (sub-str ...

Re: Video target turns transparent
After seeing the content of the link, I thought that must be it.
But unfortunately, when I checked, the protocol in use was TCP and the transparency effect was still happening.
Maybe the vampire option is becoming more realistic...

Re: TP-Link Tapo C200 control script
This used to also work on Tapo cameras - C320WS Hardware V1 - C320WS Hardware V2 - C520WS Hardware V1 Until the last firmware update for Tapo cameras and this module now no longer works. The pytapo (python) module mentioned above had the same issue but they solved it with a code update adding in ...

Re: Video target turns transparent
The only thing I can think of is that the really small zone settings cause it to detect too many blobs, and just spend too much time doing motion detection, sucking up cpu. Well, you were right (Do you ever get tired of hearing that? ...:-) ) The Blobs was a (partial) red herrring I have a total of ...

Re: Video target turns transparent
you say this only starts after getting down to a really small zone... I'm thinking red herring but... What about if you turn off motion detection and just record? First off, apologies for not replying earlier; I am not getting notifications when a reply is made to my post and I came back in today ...

1.37 on Debian 12 (bookworm)?
I expect the answer to be "No" but in case there is a way, I thought I'd at least ask. Is there a way to install/upgrade to Zoneminder 1.37 if I am on Debian 12 (NOT Ubuntu)? The PPA for 1.37 lists kinetic (Ubuntu 22.10) as one of the install options for 1.37 and kinetic is based on bookworm (Debian ...

Re: Video target turns transparent
If your system can't keep up, the queues will fill and then ZM will start dropping frames. I wanted to wait until I had time to experiment and have now tried a few things to troubleshoot. I tried this during the day in case there was an issue with InfraRed imaging. I disabled all other cameras ...

Re: Upgrade from ZM 1.36 to 1.37
Happy to explore it :-) But I‘m wondering what‘s the correct setup in 1.37 for the following: Monitor 1: Motion detection (sub-stream) in a defined zone only, nothing else (i.e. no recording, etc.) Monitor 2: linked to Monitor 1, will start recording (main stream) if triggered by motion detection on ...

Re: Video target turns transparent
If your system can't keep up, the queues will fill and then ZM will start dropping frames. Since we always keep a keyframe in the queue, you can get a situation where the video starts with a full image and then you get crap for the rest. Are there warnings in your logs about this? Thanks for ...

Re: Video target turns transparent
By downloading it through ZM, exporting it from ZM, viewing it in ZM, you can't be sure whether the fault is one side or the other. Interesting I diod not realize there would be a difference between videos downloaded with the Zoneminder GUI anda direct download from the direcotry But there was Both ...

Re: Video target turns transparent
Are you recording a direct camera pass-through of the video stream, or is Zoneminder processing into JPEGs to store it? If pass-through: What happens if you find the raw file in your events directory (you will need to search for it) and play that in VLC or similar player? I am using Direct Pass ...
