Thanks for the information.

Do i use the Viewmax branch of zoneminder or the newly renamed project iDVR (formerly Devolution Security System)

Thanks again
Use iDVr 3.0.6, as cordel points out ViewMAX is simply a web ui replacement/overlay for ZoneMinder.

it's feasible, i've split the zoneminder interface before to access 48 cameras installed to 12 seperate systems running the actual zm process. it's a huge pain in the a$$ to setup though and requires a few days of hacking and trial and error

Site Outage/Freshmeat on Hold

I haven't been able to reach this site for several days, and today I noticed the freshmeat listing is on hold which effectively delists zm and vm from their site. Any word on what that's about?

update: noticed the wiki appears Frizzle Fried as well..

And how can integrate this in my ZoneMinder machine? It's a Sabayon Linux 3.2 with ZM 1.22.3? Is there anywhere a HowTo? There is not a how-to for the interface only implementation, it is fairly straight forward however, if you grab the interface from SourceForge and extract it in a temp directory ...

gola, i just recently took over the development of DevSec, it was dead of almost a year and the code has a few "issues" which are being ironed out. Look for a minor release in January to resolve issues with the current release, and a new stable release in Feb, along with a new name for the project ...

It is not a live-cd, it was released as both partition images containing the complete system, and another release with just the "skin" which you can place on top of your own ZM install ...

using a php based templte, we have been leaving the ZM code as untouched as possible to allow this to be dropped in and serve as an alternate interface. Some of the more advanced features of ZM are not exposed via this interface, making it a little easier for an end user to swallow. Keeping the ZM ...
