hi folks
is there any plans to create a liveCD with text mode install?
i feel that text mode install r betta for linux o/s
due to some VGA card issues of X-windows with newer VGA chipset or so....
just my 2 cents

is there any calculations formula for the no# of cams that a system can support?
eg: baseline specs, 2ghz cpu 512mb ram : supports 10 cams at 640*480@10fps etc?

hi folks i've installed live CD on my PC and it looks great!!! my question is how to make liveCD run faster? 1)i've boot it up on init3 to disable KDE and save some resources 2)i saw some unrelated services like CUPSD running, can i disable it? what other services i can disable to save ram and cpu ...

i'm thinking of setting up a site with say 40+ ip cameras.
my hardware inculdes
1)48 port switch
2)ZM server: CPU 2ghz, RAM 2GB, HDD 80gb
whats the FPS and image size i should use for so many cameras?
should i use still jpeg or mjpeg?
can it deliver a acceptable performance?

i can't get mjpeg to work.
while i can get jpeg to work at /still.jpg
there's a link to 192.168.1.254/video.cgi but ZM monitor shows a black screen instead?
any ideas?
