I installed the RPM on a fresh system and the only module I needed to get was perl-TimeDate which is required by perl-MailTools .

After getting the system alll configured and having it set for users required to login I was able to turn SELINUX back on with it's default settings and no problems. Must be the fact that users have to login now that is keeping SELINUX happy.

Disabling selinux did it. This is my 3rd installation of Zoneminder under Fedora 3 and the 1st having security enhanced on since this was production and the first 2 where test systems. Thought it was an update I installed from Redhat . Thank you Amit for the tip.

Is anyone currently doing this ? I would like to record hour long video clips from my cameras and have them saved with a file in a format like MonitorID_MM_DD_YYYY_HH:MM.avi .

Changed line 156 in zmvideo.pl from my $video_file = "$video_name.mpg" to my $video_file = "$video_name.avi" . Seems ffmpeg will encode a file with a .mpg extension as mpeg4 but uses a mpeg header. File will create but can not be played back.

Has anyone had any luck in trying to save an Event in an MPEG4 format ? I am using Zoneminder 1.19.4 and the latest CVS from ffmpeg. My camera source is from the Dlink DCS1000 netcam .
