Achix, thanks for the prompt on the kodicom.patch I didn't realise it was the cause of the problems at first. Kodicom card working fine in the browser now, streaming JPEG's brilliantly. Now I have a video generation problem, did you have any problems generating video from the events, when I view an ...

Here's the fixed kodicom.patch for FreeBSD 7, it was only one line missing a carriage return causing the problem.

Bktr_reg.h was failing to apply because of it.

Hi Achix, I have the Kodicom KMC-4400R and have compiled Mark T's patch into the kernel, dmesg is showing as having detected bktr0 - bktr3 although a pciconf -lv lists the cards as being unknown vendor, which makes me question is Marks patch having the desired effect with the crossbar on the card? I...

Hi Achix, thanks for replying. Only later did I realise you were using the aclocal.m4 and acinclude.m4 from the originally packaged distribution of zoneminder. I did try rebuilding the build system myself but without success see my thread here: http://forums.freebsd.org/showthread.php?t=169 I actual...

Achix I'm experiencing the exact same problems as the last few posters. On a fresh install of FreeBSD 7.0 Release. The output of make install is: /bin/cp /usr/ports/multimedia/zoneminder/files/zm_fbsd_camera.h /usr/ports/multimedia/zoneminder/work/ZoneMinder-1.23.3/src cd . && true cd . &...

Managed to get zoneminder installed, a few notes for the uninitiated on 6.2: * The Makefile points to multimedia/ffmpeg-devel this has now been renamed to multimedia/ffmpeg and the Makefile needs to be modified accordingly. * ffmpeg (09/2007) depends on a recent release of Xvid v1.1.3 I believe so m...

Oooh, well I just paid for the card, so fingers crossed it works as I hope.

Sounds interesting, got any information on the modification I'd need to do in order to enable the sound inputs?

Thank you

Contents of Kodicom 4400R package?

Hiya Could anyone who has the Kodicom 4400R confirm whether or not it comes with daughter boards to enable at least a further 8 composite inputs? I have found an international supplier of the card to the UK for $200, not figured out the shipping yet, is this a reasonable price? Was looking at the Li...

After a Kodicom 4400R (UK)

I know there is a similar post to this made recently but I followed it and didn't find an acceptable answer. Just looking to purchase a Kodicom 4400R (which i believe is only a 4port 4 chip solution 120fps) however, I note that someone managed to get ahold of one for $60 from Asia, which they claime...

2) You don't have enough shared memory allocated on your system. See the FAQ for instruction on how to address this. As a workaround you could reduce the ring buffer size by the inverse factor of the screen increase to keep the allocation roughly the same. So if initial ring buffer size is 100, ini...

ok, didn't cotton onto the log files, sorry, I'm getting a lot of permission denied errors which are probably the cause of a lot of my problems: From zmpkg.log (does anyone know what users + permissions I should be setting these files to?) Executing: su apache --shell=/bin/sh --command='/usr/local/b...
