My card is an x-guard grandtec 9 camera
My card is an x-guard grandtec 9 camera and it only has one bt878 chip, hence with all cams I don't get a great frame rate.
Anyway 0-15 should cover most eventualities (SP?)
Thanks alot Phil

only 4 channels available in Zm drop down although 8 there!
Hi All, I have been arguing with ZM all afternoon because I just reinstalled a new box with a grandtec x-guard 8 port and the ZM would only give me 4 channels in the Monitor channels drop down box... to get round this I had to edit the database manually and set the Channel to 4,5,6 or 7 to get the ...

Disk considerations, maxlink 32,000 problem
Hi Zoneminder people, We have zoneminder running and it works OK in itself and has done for ages. I have left the installation running since last year and it has looked OK except that last week the police needed some footage from the CCTV system so I logged in and went to bring up the event but ...

still no luck
I have played a bit more but am basically stuck at this point. Does the DB3 mean debug level 3? Why wouldn't ZM be able to extract the header from the stream when Firefox and my other ZM box can?? Is there anything that needs to be installed to allow linux to read HTTP streams, all the perl modules ...

i'm getting to old for this...
Hi all, OK sorry - i have whipped out the card and hard disk out and put them in another machine and it works without rebooting so it must be an issue with the shuttle unit I was using. Sorry, a few years ago it would have been the first thing I would have tried but I am getting to old for all this ...

thanks
Hi Phil
Thanks for that, i have kill -SIGUSR1 pidofzmc 3 times but can't see any more debug info in /tmp/zm* or /var/log/messages
I have tried running zmu on the monitor
root@brian:~# zmu -m 2 -U admin -P yeahbaby -i
Segmentation fault
I take it that is bad, and perhaps the problem?
Thanks
Pete

OK still no luck - brand new box installed with stock slackware 10.1, zm 1.21.1, apache 2 and a spectra 8 card. Everything seems to work OK until I add a new monitor that is monitoring an input with no camera attached - the box then physically reboots. I have read threads about RAM and asus m/b's ...

good to hear
Excellent, the forum can get very confusing sometimes cause there are loads of thread saying it doesn't work. :\ ! I am in the process of wiping the box clean, installing a fresh spectra 8 and slackware 10.1, apache 2, zm 1.21.1 and will let this forum know if it works in RGB 4 cam mode without ...
