Are you guys perhaps using a 2.6.21.5 kernel on your distribution? I was on my Slack12 installation and found that a bug was introduced in the bttv driver in this version. Yup, it was the Kernel!!!! I downloaded and configured 2.6.23 (Gentoo mm-sources) and now I get a clear picture. Thanks a TON ...

A quick search turned up this: http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8526&highlight=pv155 I'm having that problem too but in his post he says the first channels work fine where mine don't. PAL gets me an image but NTSC does not. Matt I used the module options to fix that other problem ...

Ok I figured it out. If you are using this card on Ubuntu Edgy you can fix the problem by adding the following line to /etc/modprobe.d/options: options bttv card=77,77,77,77 One other note to make the cameras make sense in relation to the dongles when you start creating cameras start with channel 0 ...
