Okay, It Works!
The zonet 7610 works with zoneminder using the following url: admin:admin@192.168.0.xx and source: /cgi/jpg/image.cgi Don't know why it wasn't happening before. But they are running! Forget about mjpeg - not going to happen on these cheap puppies. Give credit to this guy: http://benstechcents ...

Then Why Not PCLinuxOS?
So why not use PCLinuxOS. It's stable, doesn't change too fast, and is very comfortable for Mandriva users. Oh, by the way I just upgraded an old system that was using 2006 (a manual install) to your 2007 liveCD with the latest ZM, and I have to say it was an absolute snap and the system (10 cameras ...

Some More Info?
I'm trying to get a Zonet 7610 camera to work with Zoneminder 1.22. Can you give a bit more info? I've tried (these are entries in the source tab of the camera setup - name/path/pixels): ------------------------------------- admin:admin@192.168.0.11 with /cgi/mjpg/mjpg.cgi --> also tried /cgi/mjpg ...

Taking a different approach
For simple minded peopl like me that have problems setting up scripts and paths and such, I have found that KDE's kcron does a great job! Thanks to all for the great software. Running four axis network cameras on my setup (Mandriva 2006) and everything is humming along great. This is what open ...

Thanks....
Can't tell you how long I've been waiting for this fix. I'm not a programmer - I have to wait for someone else to scan the code.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Wrong place to post...
The livecd section is for the livecd - which happens to be Mandrake based. This post should be moved to the standalone zoneminder section. This is not a distro wars forum. We're all very glad you like Suse. Now be on your way...

I may be wrong since I have an S3 card, but I believe you hit the nail on the head when you mention Nvidia. The LiveCD is based on Mandrake Community which does not support Nvidia since the drivers are non-GPL. You will need to go to the Nvidia site, http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display_ia32_1 ...

Quick way to delete and add distribution and update media...
The 1.19.1 livecd was based on a community release candidate. For those of you that are plugged into broadband, this little applet which comes from the Penguin Liberation Front (http://plf.zarb.org and http://easyurpmi.zarb.org) can automate the process of setting up sources for the distribution and ...

Email Howto
OK, can someone supply an easy to follow howto (assuming livecd - no gentoo from scratch stuff) on getting email notification to work. I have: 1. Set and saved my event (using 1 event total score >5) 2. set the options for email (tried smtp and send mail) 3. added the 3 mystical lines to zmfilter.pl ...

This is a feature!
This is like a modern day Stonehenge! We can calculate the seasons based on event scores!
Sorry - couldn't resist. I know it's frustrating. I've been watching your thread carefully hoping for some fixes.
Good Luck - and I promise no more misplaced humor...

Plugin Capability?
I'm not a programmer, so I may be barking up the wrong tree, but it appears to me that people often want this or that depending on an event (and maybe depending on the parameters of that event). So, would it be possible to setup a plugin type interface? Something along the lines of squirrelmail.org ...

Sorry for the delayed response...
I ended up using two cameras - I slowed them down to 5 fps although a one point they were doing fine at 30 fps. I never tried with 4 cameras (I just tested all the ports one by one). I was using Panasonic CCTV, color, fixed (WV-CS854). Never felt like I was stressing the capture card, but instead ...

I am using the 8 port Kworld card, and I also am limited to 4 cameras. Just adding a data point.

Will let you know...
I just requested funding for a Panasonic KX-HCM280 web based pan and tilt camera. It costs about $900. If I get the funding I will definitely be testing it with zoneminder and I'll let you know how it goes. I'm assuming at this point that I'll just have another browser open to the camera's IP ...
